Hey,
Im relatively new to D&D and im looking to buy the books for the 3.5 Edition. Now there are some books for sale at my local shop, being the D & D 3rd ed. Defenders of the Faith, D & D 3rd ed. Masters of the Wild, D & D 3rd ed. Song and Silence, D & D 3rd ed. Sword and Fist, D & D 3rd ed. Tome and Blood.

Can anybody tell me whether these books are compatible with the 3.5 edition, as the people in the store arent sure.

Thanks

You can find the 3.5 Update information right here: D&D v.3.5 Accessory Update Booklet (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20030718a)

Lots of things have changed, and yet, very much is the same. Most of the information from the 3.0 books can be used in the newer version, and most of the PrCs can be used with little adaption too. It's just that over the course of a few years, most of the PrCs have undergone some changes is several books. Officially, you'd have to use the newest version, but I don't think many DMs will mind if you use an earlier one (unless they're broken, but something can always be worked out in those situations).
