Calculating EL for treasure [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-16-07, 02:16 AM There is a new DM running our group and he was wondering what is the best way to calculate the EL of a fight with a group of monsters based upon a party of 5. Also dishing out treasure has been an issue as well. Is there any rules about how much to give out to players per EL encounter level?

04-16-07, 04:04 AM Use this "encounter calculator" for the ECL and TOTAL TREASURE VALUE

And use this to "random generate" the treasure (result can be adjusted by the DM to fit the party)
