Anyone else see the abusiveness of a psionic VoP monk + Fist of Zouken. Psionics is the answer to all the problems with spell components and such. I'm calling out a platoon of Tarrasque paratroopers on the first player that tries it.

Well I don't know about a Fist of Zouken, but if it's anything like the Fist of Raziel that's in the BoED, it requires divine spellcasting and it only gives spell levels to divine spellcasters.

I think that solves your problem.

Additionally, exalted feats have to be discussed with the DM before being taken. Says so in the BoED, p. 39, 3rd paragraph.

Fist of Zouken has no such requirement, only need to take Wild Talent feat and be a level 5 monk.

Regardless, it's not very unbalancing, if at all. The character still can't use magic items, that's the balancing factor for VoP. It's not any more abusive than being a Psion with VoP.

And the only result for "Fist of Zouken" from google is a list of Baklunish deities. It appears to be a list of gods for a specific campaign setting. Could you provide information on it? It's very difficult for people to understand where you're coming from when you're talking about an unknown prestige class.

The fist of Zuoken is a monk that gives up all their high level specials for 10 levels of psi warrior powers (not psi feats, just the powers)

So it's a monk that gets psychic warrior powers while retaining monk progression on stuff like unarmed damage and speed, or do the monk abilities taken before the prestige class stay at the same level?

In the first case, it's not much more powerful thank a Monk/Psychic warrior, if at all. They don't get the feats that a Monk/Psychic Warrior would have, and they don't get the higher level monk powers either. In the second case, it's pretty much the same as a Monk/Psychic warrior.

I would say it's not abusive, only that it seems as such.

I think the VoP Monk alone is abusive enough, especially with its high-level abilities:

Greater Flurry (1 extra attack in the flurry)
Diamond Body (immune to poisons)
Abundant Step (dimension door 1/day)
Diamond Soul (SR 10 + Monk level)
Quivering Palm (death special ability 1/week)
Empty Body (etherealness 1 round/level/day)

These are all excellent abilities that are only complemented by the VoP abilities. I don't think having a relatively weak psionic potential compares to one extra attack, immunity to poisons, and spell resistance alone.
