I want a program where I can create high quality maps, but in doing so, is not extremely confusing. I was checking out AUTORealm, and I was stumped. I don't want to drop +/- $50 on a program that I can't even figure out how to use...

I don't want to drop +/- $50 on a program that I can't even figure out how to use...I've used Campaign Cartographer for maybe 10 years now and while I always recommend it, given your comments you should probably find a good live demonstration somewhere before committing to it. One comment that CC always carries with it is that it has a learning curve. Even the most recent version, CC3, while having improved things a lot still requires patience in learning and use. Once you've learned something it's not confusing - the problem comes in knowing how much time you're willing to put into it according to what you can get out of it. That's going to apply to ANY mapping software, not just CC.

11-16-07, 04:17 PM Yeah, the only other campaign mapping prog I would recommend is Fractal Mapper from NBOS, but it also has a learning curve. The fact is, making nice campaign maps involves some advanced (well, intermediate, I guess) computer work.
