Hideous Phidias

I am about to start a new campaign and find that I have come back to Eberron for the best place to run the story line that I wanted. I could have put in any world but I know Eberron best and don't think I have the time to make my own. So I thought I are a thread to get some insight to the story as it on folds and maybe a little feed back from one or two people.

This was going to be the opening to the campaign. I was going to have the players be forth level and forgive a +2 level adjustment. I have a think three player, maybe four. One warforged and maybe two humans or at least one half elf.

The Ship left Sharn making it slow way to Xen'driks and Stormreach the colony there. The hold packed with people and their goods going to the new world and a new life. People from all walks of life and all over the land. There were so many one might say to many, for a ship of this size. The Smell was, well let's just say that no one would want to make that trip twice. The ship rocked for days until the day the sahnagin came on board. The crew said that it was normal for this, that they needed him to get thought Shargon's Teeth. They payed him in gold, a Halfling boy that saw him later said he did not think that he was happy with the amount of it.

Passing the teeth with the help of the Sahnagin guide help put the crew and passengers in better spirits. The crew thought that the danger had passed and all was well. Then out of no where the clear skies turned deadly dark and the storm came upon us. Three days the ship rolled the never ending storm. Like a it was the tongue of Shargon himself, the storm was a creature on to itself. On the forth day the magic of the ship, what little there was, gave way to the roth of the shargon and the ship was lost. Torn to drift wood by the waves, throwing the crew and passengers to the sea. Those who were lucky or unlucky to live through the storm wake to find themselves on the shore of a small harbor. Many taken form the sea by a Hobgoblin Samurai name Dir'Ven the Fow-Hammer, the first to wake. Being of less the evil nature he know that even he would need help to get out of this one. After find all that still live he and the few others capable of work toiled in the sea to get anything of value out of the wreck of the ship.

When all come to the few now 13, find that the camp is of two minds one of leaving and the others of staying. There are two goblins the samurai and a scout they saw smoke on the first day far in the jungle. They believe that it is maybe a settlement of sort and a hope to get to stormreach. The others, mainly a few humans experts, a half orc fighter hurt in the storm and half elf cleric, are of mind to stay to stay in hopes that they are not to far from the shipping lanes and can get a ship to see their fire.

The party, the only whole group to live through together, now has to chose to go or stay. They had been coming to Xen'drik to find a lost treasure with their employer but now this. Now they are the lost treasure and the only question that remains is will anyone come looking for them.

I have a list of the stuff the people have pulled from the sea, goods, weapons armor, and even one horse. But I am always looking for a good ideas to add to the list. I mean if there is something cool and out there that you think I should add please tell me.

I was going to try and drive the pc in to the jungle with the goblins who are not there to kill them in the sleep. If the party does not go with them then I was going to kill of the npc that stayed on the beach on by one like in one of those bad horror movies. When only the party remains than maybe have them face the chose one more time if they chose to go then have them meet up with the goblins later. If they still chose to stay then a ship will come but not one they will like. They just may find them chained to a oar or worse an snack for some monster of the deep.

Well tell me what you think. I know that it starts of like most campaigns of the lost type. But... well what works, works.
