| Seeker9504-11-04, 02:10 PM | The party is sent as the Lewis and Clark representatives of the King of the Land, into a new continent. Travel in the wilderness. Map it for the Monarch. Lots of above ground adventures in unexplored territory. Stay outside for weeks and months on end, with no recourse to towns, and only occasional interaction with villages. |
| kasthevampire04-13-04, 05:36 PM | depends on your alighnment. If it is good you could have them take down a necromancy. If evil World domination!! or at least to start an assasins guild. Starting them in a military campighn is good because it allows characters to rise though the ranks from a soldier to general |
| ieattrollsforbreakfast04-13-04, 05:55 PM | I'm currently brewing up a post-apocalyptic world weaved with magic from ancient times. Thousands of years ago civilisation crumbled after the clash of a host of the multiverse's most powerful artifacts. Now, with the lands colonised by savage tribes, it is up to the PCs to lead their tribe to prosperity. |
| Masterful_Norg04-14-04, 12:59 AM | As you know I usually keep my campaign ideas and materials secret from players in my gaming group, so I will not post any of my campaign ideas here as you will get to see them soon enough howlerhawk, if that is your real name!;) |
| howlerhawk04-14-04, 05:49 PM | you have no idea how the canpaine will go(mwhaaahahaahaaa...ya thats enough of that) or do u? nsokryge figure it out |
| Dumb_N00b04-18-04, 11:52 AM | MUHAHAHAHAHAHA (sry could resist) yeah you shold have all the pc's dance around with their heads cut off, or maybe they should have two kids and have to make the heart wrenching desicion of which one lives and which one they eat to stay alive. jk now remeber this campaign is for 20th level characters.:king: |

My own take on this, for low level characters: The party are the apprentices, squires, acolytes etc to the really important people carrying out such an expedition. When something happens to all the important guys (who are the people who had the maps...) the less-than-experienced party are left to cope on their own. Now, maybe their only priorities are (a) survive and (b) find their way home. |
| FOOL04-18-04, 01:32 PM | Well, If your just starting out on your first campaign, then I would suggest Goblin bashing. It's easy to weave a basic plot into, the PCs have a moderate challenge (depending on how many goblins they are fighting) and it's fairly easy to set up. Another good story line for beginers is, An old Gandalf-like person who enjoys sending weak adventurers on meaningless tasks compaired to their mission. Later, when these adventurers are toughened up, he asks them to join him on a mission to save the world. Yipee. Last one, A townsperson has been murederd. You need to collect clues to find the person who did it before he strikes next. Yeah I know these are a little generic, but if you throw in stuff like Mind controlling apes or something, it's actually pretty original. |
| howlerhawk04-18-04, 04:11 PM | these characters are at lvl 20 i dont wanna send them on weak adventures |
| FOOL04-18-04, 10:06 PM | Ah, level 20, you should have said so. My personal favorite is to send them to find the 12 staffs of the Magi that got stolen from a prominent magic school that got split up between 12 BBEG's with the last one being an extremely powerful demon prince. Or maybe, have a some time spell go wrong and now all the days are going all out of order (teusday, thursday, monday, saturday ect.) and you have to stop it before the material (sp?) plane gets sucked into the temporal plane. |
| howlerhawk04-18-04, 10:09 PM | thats a good idea |
| Seeker9504-19-04, 10:33 AM | If they are starting out at level 20, you're probably on your own. If you are starting your campaign idea with the assumption that the party is level 20, you're putting the cart before the horse. Make the characters whatever level you need for the campaign idea you want to implement. Not the other way around. Unless, when you say "campaign" you really mean "adventure". A campaign is the collection of adventures, settings, NPCs and objectives. If all you need is an adventure for a group of 20th level characters, there is a lot of material out there. If you don't already have an idea, I recommend using the pre-made. |
| The Grey Mouser04-19-04, 03:42 PM | Send them to Hell. [/thread] |

You'd be amazed at how interesting some of these turn out to be. |
| howlerhawk04-19-04, 09:56 PM | what a brillient mind |
