Can a sword and shield fighter still make a natural weapon slam attack? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-19-07, 06:47 PM Can a fighter armed with a sword and shield still make a natural weapon slam attack in the same round without dropping anything? By definition, a slam attack requires an appendage. That says nothing about needing a free hand. My thought is that I could attack with a one-handed weapon, and then deal a natural weapon slam attack with an elbow (albeit with a -5 secondary attack modifier). Thoughts?

09-21-07, 07:19 PM he could definitely do so. Monks can use their legs to deliver their unarmed blows. You can have a monk with no arms that lays waste to the party just by kicking them.
