| piratelord08-10-07, 08:54 AM | Hi all, Is it safe to post details here about a new RPG being produced on these forums? I'm not going to mention anything in this post, apart from that the post will be part recruitment too. Just wondering, because due to being D&D, people here will be full of ideas that would be very much welcome. If not, I understand :D Thanks. |
| Zherog08-10-07, 09:14 AM | If you post it, WotC owns it. That probably has a big impact on your decision, I would think. ;) |
| Eater_Of_Souls08-10-07, 10:00 AM | Wizards have a right to publish anything posted on these forums so if you post it they might natch it and lose your rights to it but I can't say since I'm no expert on copyright laws. safest would be to link the campaing form an externa site if your really paranoid or have a copyright before hand if you allready have a publisher. |
| piratelord08-10-07, 10:11 AM | The website I would link to has copywrite info on it, and the game is being produced by a new gaming studio, has investors and even had a presentation given about it at an event. |
| Zherog08-10-07, 10:28 AM | Ah, I see. So you're not looking to post the game; you're looking to post a link to the game. OK - that's different. Gleemax is the place for such stuff. On that forum you can discuss any game - whether it's made by WotC or not. You can also put a link to it in your sig without a problem; then you can pimp it wherever you post. :D |
| piratelord08-11-07, 11:04 AM | Thanks for the reply I went to what appeared to be the Gleemax forum, but it seemed to be about a new sci-fi game in development, so what I want to post didn't seem suitable. |
| Zherog08-11-07, 04:24 PM | Gleemax forums For the moment, the "General Game Discussion" subforum would be the place to pimp your game. The site will be changing however within the next week or two, and maybe then it'll be more clear where stuff is supposed to go. |
