03-02-08, 02:00 PM Mostly Ability scores get increased by Prc Class bonuses or Items as you advance levels, look in the DMG to see examples of this, The Dragon Disciple Prestige Class and The Gauntlets of Ogre Power in the Wondrous Items sections are good examples.

It's a moot point, because it is in the SRD. Just not where you would expect it to be. To find the rule, you have to look in the "advancing monsters" section.
