Okay, first off, I'd like to say I'm a huge fan of Wizards of the Coast. As my profile says, I've played D&D for nearly ten years and after a mere two years of playing, I got stuck as DM to the Forgotten Realms/Ravenloft campaign settings. Needless to say, no one else ever wanted to DM.

Now, I'll skip most of the rest of this story and head right to my point.

This is mainly a post for those who have trouble finding D&D groups because their group has split for various reasons. Some leave for the Marines, some go off to school and find out that the local RPG chapter doesn't quite fit what they remember, etc....

I'm not here advertising for anything commercial or business, but to merely offer an alternative form of D&D.

I've been playing something called a MUD (Multi-User Dimension) since I had to start the responsiblity of being sole DM for several new groups after mine split. Admittedly, I enjoy DMing...to a point. But I need to play, too. This particular mud is called Forsaken Lands and it's Roleplay Enforced. It's also Player Killing enforced. It's based largely on D&D, which is what attraced me to it. However, we've had trouble increasing the size of our playerbase because we adhere so closely to D&D. We haven't really expanded beyond the basics of it being all about the characters and the stories.

We offer several race/class combinations and a rather extensive land to explore. Some of our races include: Elf, Drow, Duergar, Dwarf, Faerie, and Ogre. Classes: Warrior, Thief, Shaman, Cleric, Healer, Paladin....etc...

I won't waste a bunch of space here, so, if you have an interest, my AIM is in my profile and there's also a link to the Forsaken Lands forum.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I saw quite a few other sections to this forum I'd like to peruse. Especially that topic "I'm level 10, make me a god" hehe...

Thank you for your time and I apologize if this breaks the Code of Conduct. I just figured this was really close to something for those who needed D&D groups. Oh, and MUDs are entirely text-based.
