seanAgone 01-19-06, 01:29 PM	Can you dispel Mordenkainen's Mansion? And if so, what happens to the objects and people inside? Other specifics you may find interesting about the instance in question... A PC became a Lich and toiled on to DemiLich. He decided to keep his phylactery in a permant Mordenkainen's Mansion. After quite a bit of drama (11th to 24th lvl) the other PCs could not stand his manipulations any longer (they put up with it for so long because he was a magic item factory, and he kept his lawful evilness selective and secretive for the most part). So, finally, when one PC was trapped in a stone, and the others realized the extent of his extortion, blackmail, and control over the party they decided to destroy him. The PC who got stuck in the rock kinda saw it coming (the inevitable conflict, not Trap the Soul, that was really funny... it was handed to him by someone he trusted), and had taken the leadership feat. For his cohort he made a cleric that was designed to fight the Lich if he ever got out of control. The cleric used command undead and forced the demilich to reveal the location of the entrance to his Mordenkainen's Mansion. They then put the demilich in an antimagic field rendering him an inamimate skull, and smashed it to pieces along with all 8 soul gems. After that was done they used dispel magic on the exposed door to the M. Mansion. So, now what happens? Is the door (that can be dismissed at will) alone dispelled? Or, is the entire plane that the spell created gone as well? I mean, what if a party is in a MM and the duration expires? Or, what if an evil wizard happened along... detected the door and just dispelled it for fun? -a DM
Seeker95 01-19-06, 04:31 PM	Yes, you can dispel it, just like any other spell. Anything inside (that shouldn't be) appears in the closest open square.
