So, there I was:
Looking through some boxes in the basement. MrsCharlie needed a new mouse for her computer. I knew I had a spare one somewhere in one of those boxes. What should I find?
Castle Greyhawk WG7!! :w00t: (and a stack of Samurai Cat novels).

Has anyone converted this? It was so much fun to play! :D
There is just so much of it (up to 25 levels).

Conversion on the fly is much easier now than when 3e first came out.

DCs are arbitrary to begin with, giving an experienced DM very little difficulty at all. When it doubt, make DC 10 for easy tasks, DC 15 for moderate, DC 20 for difficult and DC 25 for "really hard" tasks.

Monsters are almost universally "use the new one" in nature.

The toughest part is toning down 2e treasure.

Well, there is a lot of material to cover here (this thing has dungeon levels for adventurers of XP level 0-25). And some of it anachronistic (systems or rules that did not make the conversion).

What I mean is that you can keep the encounter, but use 3e mechanics. Most of that can be done on the fly -- while you play. No more prep time than any other module. As long as you know the plot and the general assumptions (all relatively mechanics-less) the rest is "as per normal". If 3e doesn't have a specific mechanic to cover the encounter, wing it.

Yeah, I seem to remember 'winging' it back when the rules in it were recent.
