Hi. I'm not a board regular, but I figured this might be a good place to ask this question. Hopefully there's not some more fitting part of the board to ask this, but I didn't find one. Anyway... I'm DMing these days. I don't really like using canned adventures, so I come up with stuff myself. While I do a little bit of planning, I tend to improvise a lot. And I'm a busy guy, so I don't really like to spend a long time before the game starts. What I would like is a resource which contains a large number of NPC characters, searchable by keywords. (Eg "sorcerer 7th level kobold" or "manyshot fighter ranger 12th level") I don't care at all about all that "role-playing" crap they like to include on the WotC page...I can come up with my own character motivations, thank you very much...but I can't choose 14 feats across three NPCs while my players roll initiative. (Not to mention spellcasting classes, which are by far the worst.) Items are a pain, too, so it'd be nice if those were included. I've tried to use a random NPC generator, but at least the one I used didn't give characters any theme, and took an awful lot of crappy stuff. It would be much better if people designed them. Perhaps they could be rated in terms of usefulness on some sort of "hot or not"-style scale? But I digress. Has anyone seen anything like this? The important thing is a _bunch_ of characters that are searchable by traits, or at least sorted. Rick
