well, in player's guide to Faerun at least, there are two PrCs that double the radius of light spells. Celestial Brilliance has the Light descriptor, so the damaging radius of that spell cast by either a Morninglord or an Eye of Horus-Re would be 120ft, with another 120ft of dim light....

Given there already potent anti-undead abilities, auto-infliction of damage to all undead (and evil outsiders) out to that range is just nasty. It makes for a great undead hunting campaign. :)

oh! and initatiates of Lathander could Sponaneously cast Celestial Brilliance!

Ok, so I like thaty spell a lot.. when youa re walking through a woods infested with demons, you tend to like spells that hurt them...

Excellent points about celestial brilliance. There are a few other BoED spells that could be spontaneously cast by Initiates of Lathander:

Crown of Brilliance: (Cleric 6)

Also good against undead as well as more mundane enemies - fighting opponents who can't look directly at you is typically an advantage. Only drawback is the 100gp material component.

Curtain of Light: (Sanctified 5)

A somewhat more 'tactical' spell than some of the other Wall spells; it deals damage to undead and evil creatures without being able to stop them - though a combination of this spell and a wall of stone might be particularly effective. On the other hand, the 'cool' factor of being able to spontaneously cast a Sanctified spell is way up there.

Lantern Light: (Cleric 1, Paladin 1, Sorc/Wiz 1, Vassal of Bahamut 1)

Not the most impressive spell in the book, but useful in the sense that it is available to a 1st level Initiate and can deal reasonable ranged damage. If one plays in a particularly Greenwoodian campaign, though, one might have a hard time fulfilling the abstinence requirement...

Tomb of Light: (Cleric 7, Sorc/Wiz 7)

Has a similar though not as difficult material component problem to crown of brilliance - with this spell available spontaneously, though, Initiates of Lathander become the bane of evil extraplanar creatures throughout the Realms. (And given that the table in the PGtF shows Lathander with more 'enemies' than any other good-aligned deity in the Realms, that's not necessarily an inaccurate approach to take.)
