| AndrewD209-27-05, 10:19 AM | Alright, in one game I'm playing in I have a Sor 7/Exalted Arcanist 5. For my final Exalted feat I had taken Celestial Familair. Now the problem for me comes to the fact that I have never owned a familair in any game I've played in, let alone a Celestial Familair. I have been, for the past month, trying to figure out what my familair's stats and abilities would be (It's a Musteval Gardinal by the way). Does his intelligence go up as per other familairs? I think that's the biggest thing I'm trying to figure out, but if anyone can help with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Andrew |
| strenoth09-27-05, 10:36 AM | His intelligence goes up IF the intelligence listed in the PHB for familiars at your character's sorcerer level (you look at level 7 for that chart, not level 12) has a higehr INT than the Gardinal. other than that, just take a gardinal, and add +4 to it's Natural Armor, plus give it the listed abilities. Compare the gardinal's BaB wiht yours, use the highest. COmpare it's Base Saves with yours, use the highest Base Save, then add in it's ability score modifiers. |
| Millennium09-27-05, 09:31 PM | The Intelligence column of the Familiar Abilities chart lists fixed values, not bonuses. A familiar gets either its native Intelligence score or the one listed for its master's level, whichever is greater. I don't know the Int of mustevals off the top of my head, but I'd imagine that it wouldn't benefit from this particular aspect of being a familiar unless the master was at a very high level indeed. |
