Celestial Fiend [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-30-05, 02:40 AM Hey Ive always wanted to create and Celestial Fiend just to see how good it was and to see how it would play. It would have to have a really good background to make legitamate.

I was just wondering should I make it:

1.So that its Neutral
2.has all of the half fiend and half celestial specials etc
3.And that both races shun it like the Half-Orc

This would like cool as to play.
So what are your thoughts?

In any event, if you want it in your game, make it.

HOWEVER:

This is by far nothing new to the message boards, and has been done to death since 3E first came out (indeed, there are a few examples in 2nd Edition as well).

There are a few ways to work it, almost all are reversible as well:

Celestial Fiend = Fiend (pick one, any one) and slap the Celestial template on it = doesn't make much sense, but perhaps it got lost among the planes, suffered amnesia, and fell asleep among the fields of Elysia or some crap like that.

Half-Fiend Celestial = Celestial with the half-fiend template slapped on it. Again, not much sense there, but if the demons/devils/angels/etc. are capable of reproducing (the "Adam Sandler/Little Nicky" effect) biologically, then it's possible. Insert tab A into slot B...

Half-Fiend, Half-Celestial [RACE] = [race, probably human] with both half-templates plastered to it. If the LA +8 doesn't give you pause before going this route, please go play in traffic before you procreate...the human race will ultimately thank you posthumously.

Celestial/Fiendish [race] = same thing, just using the Celestial & Fiendish templates for a much less powerful and slightly lower LA.

Celestial Tiefling (or Fiendish Aasimar) = you get the idea.

Half-celestial Tiefling (half-fiend Aasimar) = again, you ought to have the picture by now.
