| Zuleika04-29-08, 03:06 PM | Yeah I want to hear them all when interacting with difficult situations, specially with LE villains and so forth. And also ... I want to know what things CG characters do that some people might considerate it "evil" or "chaotic neutral". Since CG's do things that they believe they are actually good. Any favorite philosophies for GG's ? |

| Shadowshimmer04-29-08, 03:17 PM | Ahh, the old Chaotic Good philosophy. When I first asked for the D & D teacher's philosphy on CG, I was given two examples. The first was Robin Hood. He steals from the rich to give to the poor. The Sheriff of Nottingham is/was considered LE by my DM so my D & D teacher advised when playing CG ask myself, what would Robin Hood do. The other example and I know it kind of strange/silly but this person has been playing D & D since the 70s so here goes:Bugs Bunny. He stated that if you look/remember all of the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, he is considered CG. Sure, he did some crazy, "chaotic" things but in his mind could they be justified? I guess so because the law may state that it is Rabbit Hunting season but can you really blame Bugs for blowing up Elmer? |
| Zuleika04-29-08, 03:21 PM | Got a suggestion to start us off? Well if you guyz play CG's chars very often then probably you can talk about your experience during a campaign you guyz played in. Specially those moments where your CG char stood high in the face of evil and the whole town of innocent people looked at you with hopes that you will set them free ... Those moments, where your GC character shines and you are not regarded as "Just another GC fellow" . ^__^ *thumbs up* |

I LMAOed myself when I remembered that Bugs Bunny "loved?" kissing Elmer in his mouth... I cant do that every now and then in DnD ROFL But maybe I could do another thing.. perhaps... summon a Mind Flyer and make him kiss the "Elmer" NPC? *ROFLS to Death* |

My CG ranger was all for getting information out of the Goblin but he did not agree with the methods used by the CN party member. At first the CN party member started knocking him around and my CG party member figured well, he had already been walloped by the party Dwarf's hammer anyway so fine. When the CN party member wanted to start cutting off body parts, well that is when my CG ranger stopped it right there and then. It just seemed "evil" to him and going to far. I guess it was just instinct or how I felt the character would act. I guess you just have to get a feel for your character and don't let yourself be boxed in by alignment. Act the way you think your character would act. |
| The Stray04-29-08, 05:13 PM | Dude, Bug Bunny is Chaotic Evil. Seriously, he's a rabbit who goes about playing malicious, spiteful, humiliating and quite dangerous pranks on people who had the bad luck of just p!ssing him off. Granted, the people he targets usually have it coming, which is why he's sympathetic, but have you seen the cartoons where the poor sod he's targeting doesn't have such karmic debt waiting to happen? It makes Bugs' antic a little less forgivable. Sure, he's inventive, charismatic, and funny, but if the Loony Tunes characters weren't immune to death he'd have a bigger body count than The Joker and I guarantee any character emulating BB in-game would be labeled Chaotic Evil in a heartbeat and hit with the banhammer faster than you can blink. This is not to say Bugs Bunny's brand of lunatic mayhem isn't awesome to watch, just that if you guys are thinking he's the GOOD GUY just because he's the designated protagonist, you've got some seriously screwed up morality. |

| Shadowshimmer04-29-08, 07:50 PM | Bugs Bunny is Chaotic Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How dare anyone say my hero is Chaotic Evil. He does not get back at people that have the bad luck of coming across him. Dude, they are trying to eat him. If someone is trying to eat you and you shove a piece of dynamite down their throat, then good for you and you are not Chaotic Evil. What are you going to do, let them eat you? If anyone thnks that Bugs Bunny is Chaotic Evil then they are the most confused, misinformed person I ever heard off!!!! Chaotic Evil does not go around saving other beings because they are helpless and weak and get revenge on the bullies and attempted murders. Those are the Chaotic Evil beings. Also, players that I have seen emulate Bugs Bunny have not been banned and have led to some of the most creative, fun games of D & D I have ever played in. It is certainly better the cookie cutter good guy and the moustache twirling bad guy!! |
| The Stray04-30-08, 04:04 AM | Normal, sane people deal with people trying to eat them by running away or calling the cops. Bugs Bunny will declare war on them, and proceed to drop anvils on them, trick them off cliffs, ruin and humiliate his nemesis at every turn, and generally be an all around jerkass. He goes around gleefully (and entertainingly, but still) ruining people's lives. Think of it this way: Elmer Fudd's only crime is that he's hungry and rabbits make good stew. He certainly doesn't deserve half of what Bugs puts him through on a regular basis. |
| Zuleika04-30-08, 10:46 AM | Well anyways ... Has anyone played an exalted Holy Liberator? |
