Beowulf_R_Us 01-17-07, 07:53 PM	Beowulf "The Perfected" Paragon Chral/Darkling* ECL: 48 :evillaugh 6 lvl rogue, 10 lvl shadowdancer, 10 lvl heavenly purger of Sarina*, 7 lvl master of light* *classes and races of my own making :D HP: 1089; 33d6+396+495 str:45, dex:43, con:41, int:43, wis:33, cha:43 AL: CN Beowulf was born in the capital city of Renia, Aehiis. The babe was odd looking, with streaks of black in his deep blue hair and silvery wings, and flecks of blood red in his eyes. His mother, the previous Queen of the Chral died at birth, her dying wish, after seeing the freakish baby was that her son "Beowulf" would be transported out of Renia and entrusted to a trustworthy family so that he would not be persecuted in Renia. The baby Beowulf was given to a moderately wealthy young halfling couple traveling on the road. Along with their guidance and training, Beowulf became a strong young rogue, versed in the mechanics of trading. Although not all was to be well. Beowulf was unwittingly carrying the soul of the thought slain god Karjekan, god of the darklings, who's soul was slowly gaining power over Beowulf. One fateful day, the soul of Karjekan gained enough power to completely take over Beowulf, and he proceeded to utterly destroy anything ever held dear to Beowulf: his family, his friends and the clan of halflings he worked so hard to join. After bringing to ruin everything he ever cared about, Karjekan left Beowulf to seek true resurrection. After vowing vengeance on Karjekan, and trying to kill him multiple times, both being saved by a strange glowing woman, he realized that his power was not even close enough to even dream of killing him. When all hope seemed lost however, the long lost blade of vengeance "Achemnon", sword forged and wielded by Sarina, goddess of the Chral found him lying spiritually broken and destitute in the proverbial gutter. With hope restored Beowulf continued his training until one day when he met someone who would change his life forever, Mia. The two quickly fell in love and had a common foe in Karjekan who was now masquerading as the "Darkruler", the ruler of the darkling country of Trisetha. Together, the two faced down the Darkruler's countless minions and his lover. Finally, however they faced Karjekan in the "Tower of the Abyssal Master" located in the capital city of Trisetha. They narrowly escaped alive, and Beowulf sensing he had to do something, sucked Karjekan's soul back into him. Afterward, Beowulf and Mia built a castle with the money they found in the coffers of the tower and Beowulf and Mia's combined charisma, combined with low to no taxes, brought all kinds of people to the castle, and before fifty years had passed they had a bustling Metropolis, "Greyhaven, the City of Adventurers" This was far from the end though, Karjekan's lover, combined with her veritable army of nightshades stormed Greyhaven, they were successfully repelled by Beowulf, at the cost of his life. Although, all this crusading against Karjekan had not gone unnoticed in the eyes of the gods, one goddess in particular, Sarina the goddess of the chral, who resurrected Beowulf giving him her kiss which bestows utter perfection, gave him her blessing and told him to hunt Karjekan's lover down. With the utter power bestowed by the kiss, he dispatched her easily , but in doing so triggered the resurrection of the god Karjekan. Beowulf fought valiantly for 13 days against the god, with the fight ending in a stalemate. Beowulf, trailing the wounded Karjekan to the negative energy plane, engaged Karjekan in combat once more, this time barely edging out victory with Achemnon's retributive blast. Upon defeat on his plane of origin, his soul dissipated unto nothingness. Victorious, but not out of danger yet, Beowulf tried desperately to find an exit, and after 20 years he found a tear in the planes leading to the material plane, and upon exit was shocked to discover his wife had remarried. Distraught, and seeking answers, he turned to direct service to the goddess Sarina until one day he ascended into godhood after finding the "Sword of creation" in the tower of infinite dreams. He continues to exercise control as the intermediate god of Vengeance to this day.
