Character Picture Generator [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-17-05, 10:07 AM Does anyone know of any character picture generators? I only know of one (Hero Machine) and it isn't quite what I want. I'm looking for somthing that lets you change everything to get just the image you want. Hair color, eye color, hair style, skin color, race, clothes, weapons, armor, etc.

I want to find out what all is available before spending any money on it.

Or just go to the Art Room at GenCon. You can get a talented artist to draw your character from $10 and up. It isn't that expensive.

I knew exactly what I was looking for, hence my asking a question. If you don't have a mature answer then don't post anything at all.

To those of you who were legitimally trying to help, I thank you for your thoughts. But, the first reply and several others were just completely sarcastic and I hope the writers grow up soon.

The only sarcastic remark I saw was "a pencil", and maybe "look through a bunch of pictures and maybe you'll find one you like". But you got four computer programs that include character generators. If you don't like any of them, fine. But don't yell at us that you already tried those, and we're just trying to annoy you by mentioning them.

I have also looked for character picture generators, but I haven't found anything better than anything thats already been mentioned that would be accessible for you. I now subscribe to the "friend with a pencil" school of picture generation.

You could request something from The art factory (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=232892) but if you want something done in exact detail it'd help if you drew some of the details out, even if the drawings look bad it'd help the artist see what you want.

Bear in mind that requested illustration usually has some differences from what you imagined, unless it's really simple. The only way to get a perfect match with your vision is to learn to draw and do it yourself.
