Character sheet, Offline. For laptop use. Needed. [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-16-06, 06:37 PM Well Ok, I plan to be using my laptop to use for playing dnd at friends or wherever. The thing is tho, I need some sort of character sheet program i can use while not connected to the internet. Something like the 3eprofiler and its spinoff's would be nice. But it has to be independant, I cant have it need acess to the web.

See the problem is, I could just use the regular ol character sheets on the computer, the printable ones i would normally use, But then there is no way to edit them properly. And that is where the problem lies. I need something thats easily editable and accesable.

edit. You beat me to the punch. But, I just searched around google. getting some "excel viewer" from the microsoft site, lets see if it works.

i've bumbled through for 40 odd years with a grossly inadequate understanding of microsoft office products & it hasn't (adversely) affected my role-playing

Running Windows without office is rather pointless as 99% of all documents out there, if not in PDF format, are in an format used by Office.
i am sure there are some third party programs that read and allows you to edit excell documents, but, knowing Microsoft, i severely doubt it.
