06-27-05, 09:49 PM You can always go completly random. Make up a table with races, a table with classes, and use that NPC quirk guide in the DMG to come up with a completly random character.

I did this once to figure out what would make a better archer a level 3 Fighter with archery feats or a level 3 Ranger with the archery combat speciality. (level 3 because at 4 ranger got spells and I figured that would kinda unbalance things) With the same stats and weapons the fighter kicked the ranger's arse 7 to 1 fighter. The ranger got lucky with a crit. what can I say those natural 20's ruin everything.

but Ranger would be much more fun to play imo cause more skill points. An spells and an animal companian.

If you hold a level 1 tourney it is almost gaurented that a Cleric with skills in fighting proweless would be most likely to win IMO.

but cool idea I might do that again. WHO IS BETTER THE SORCERER OR THE WIZARD? BARBARIAN OR FIGHTER? CLERIC OR DRUID? RANGER OR PALADIN? I must know...but...too...busy...actually having a life.

I vote randomly generated characters by core rules only.

Roll 1d8 for race
1 Human
2 Dwarf
3 Elf
4 Gnome
5 Half-Elf
6 Half-Orc
7 Halfling
8 Reroll

Roll 1d12 for class

1 Barbarian
2 Bard
3 Cleric
4 Druid
5 FIghter
6 Monk
7 Paladin
8 Ranger
9 Rogue
10 Sorcerer
11 Wizard

I don't have any MMORPGs I refuse to buy a game and than pay a monthly fee to play it. I am in college which means me no have money. I could go play a CRPG but no thanks. If I heard of a free MMORPG I would jump at it. WoW was fun but I would not pay for it.

As for returning to reality. I prefer my own world over this one. (don't worry I rarely ever leave it)

I have the same problem, and im playing www.anarchy-online.com now, its really ...ok, but its free

As for you, insatiable, I suggest narrowing it down. Think of a few different character concepts you'd like to play, and flesh them out if you want to. And just play them all.
