02-22-07, 10:12 PM I have recently created a site about D&D and unlike the other home made sites I don't want this one to die out so please take a look at it.

Looking for the Knights of Everest campaign settingand exclusive updates to it, well then visit this sight.

Looking for links including how to make a world, write in elven, find all the core rules and psionic rules, find tons of awsome names!, find a rhyme for your riddle or poem, or find a symbol and its meaning, then check out this sight.

Looking for maps or someone who will make custom maps for you, check out this sight. "How to draw fantasy maps" coming soon!

It is a very helpful sight for DMs and will contain articles for newbies to the game (so you can just refer one to the sight) coming soon.

I am looking for home brew campaign worlds to put on the sight (I will create a whole new site for your setting) so that DMs can come here without having to sort through all the excess posts on wizards to find a good campaign setting.

02-24-07, 04:46 AM 1. Turn off the music, or at least make it so that it doesn't play by default. It eats bandwidth and becomes annoying. Also, when a link opens a new window, you've got two music tracks playing at once. Not good.

2. Your backgrounds are a tad on the busy side. Try to consolidate it into either a single image, rather than a repeating one, or else a solid color/gradient.

3. My first impression left me clueless as to the site's purpose. Your introduction at the top gives me no guidance, and there's a general lack of direction across the whole site. Try to make the navigation a little more first-timer friendly. Maybe include a new section called "First Time Here?", wherein you spell out what the site's all about and how to find what you're looking for.

4. The maps are well drawn, and probably very useful in your campaign, but there are a few issues with how they're presented on the site. Some of them are quite large when they're full sized, so you may try to get a smaller version available for those with lower bandwidth. Also, you ought to have the scale marked on the map if it's anything other than 5ft-squares.

5. Look at your color schemes when deciding on font color. There are times when you have dark red text on dark brown background, and similar mistakes. Try to clean those up, remembering that the more contrasted the colors, the more easily they can be read. Dark-on-dark and light-on-light just doesn't work.

02-24-07, 01:42 PM The music really does add to the mood you're probably seeking, but there should be a way for visitors to disable it (and only have to do that once).

Also, the one map "City of High Scape" is tremendous (almost 30 MB), and doesn't load in properly. You must've done a really high resolution scan :)

The website content is a good start, and its theme has an interesting presentation. Hope you succeed with it, and have fun.

02-25-07, 04:44 PM Even though Novacats pointers kind of agrivated me at the beggining, I realize that that feedback is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for being so strait forward. With your pointers I have a question?

Do you know how to make the image smaller, would saving to .JPEG help maybe?

I see what your saying about the music, maybe I should just leave it at one calm, quite song? Thanks for the feedback and any help you can give me.
