Most players buy books, not for the new base classes (hint: most books don't contain base classes, they would if that's what we customers were clamouring for), but for other things. As for those people who do buy books for base classes, it is in WotC interest to make these people pay £80 for a set of Complete books (or £160 if you include the new set of Complete Twink books) than £20 on a Class Compendium. 'Course, I would have said the same thing about a Spell Compendium, and I was first in line to buy that beauty.
Zar Niln 02-13-07, 02:27 PM	I don't think we need a class compendium book, especially when the folks on the boards could just give you a pretty detailed list of where to find any and all core/prestige classes.
Seeker95 02-13-07, 03:20 PM	I do not want one, because I already think the 11 base classes are seven classes too many. However, I believe that the overall 3.5 system could use one. One source for all your class goodness (other than PHB classes) to accompany the other compendiums would allow most groups to decrease how much luggage they must carry to a game. And it would also give WotC an opportunity to fix a few of the over- and under-powered classes that are out there.

Here, here! Hardback books may last longer (than say, the softback books like Rolemaster) but they are so much bulkier and heavier!
