I'm working on a personal campaign setting, and currently plan to have Incarnum accessible to characters and monsters as a little known "Wild Magic". While it has existed for times unknown, it's study is very new and mostly unknown, and as a result, I currently plan to not allow the base classes (Incarnate, Soulborn, and Totemist) or the races. The feats, spells, and Prestige Classes will definately be around, accessible to players, and used by other characters.

I don't intend for Incarnum to have a major impact, but without the base classes, I'm afraid Incarnum will require too much of an investment for players to be worthwhile. Does anybody have any suggestions? Turning the base classes into 10 or 15 level PrCs was one idea I had, but I'm not entirely certain how well that'd work.

Maybe create some substitution levels for the base classes that gives them a few incarnum things? Like opening a chakra, or a soulmeld and some essentia or something. That way if they choose to take some of them, they will have a few things all ready and can expand upon those with feats.

Use the Gestalt rules, and have one half of the Gestalt class be nothing but Incarnate, Totemist, or Soulborn. This takes care of almost everything.
