| DeathBecomesUs08-09-07, 12:11 AM | Seeing the news about the Trapped Miners in Utah (United States) made me think in D&D terms. I was trying to think of possible adventures along these lines. 1. Have any published adventures (Modules) had this trapped in a mine theme? 2. Have you used this in your adventures, campaigns? If so, I would be interested in hearing about it. 3. Did you have your group (assuming you have used this theme) be trapped IN the mine? Or where they trying to rescue otherse who where trapped inside? 4. What magic spells are especially useful for this? Thanks............Any comments are welcome. |

Into the Black: A Guide to Below Not an adventure, but it addresses the subject. There was also a Serenity RPG adventure -- Out in the Black -- that had the mines collapsing around the PCs. And Secret of the Windswept Wall is about rescuing some folks from a collapsed mine. 2. Secret of the Windswept Wall. It was fun, but it did not involve the PCs being involved in a collapse. 3. See above. 4. Passwall and Teleport and Gaseous Form become very useful. |

I'd suggest having the location take place where there's even more danger: a volcano is about to explode; the tunnels of Carceri or other Outer Planer realm. Not only do they need to dig out, but there's something else in the depths with them. |
