Seeker95 01-27-05, 09:16 PM	I've been using a website to gather adventures created by folks just like you and me. Its called RPG Archive (http://www.rpgarchive.com/), and I've found quite a few useful adventure hooks and even complete adventures (requiring enough tweaking to fit my campaign). Now that I am older, with a wife and daughter, I have less time to spend creating my own adventures. However, I have created my own campaign world with a storyline that makes it easy to incorporate adventures of many different styles into my game. (Last night, Greyhawk was nearly leveled by an earthquake. The party hasn't ventured out beyond the city to see the true extnt of the damage, but oh so many ruins have been uncovered as a result!) Anyway, I wanted to invite all of you to check it out with an ulterior motive of hoping to see some of the adventures you've made along the way. And if you're into stuff other than D&D, they have quite a bit of that too!
Ricky 01-28-05, 10:08 AM	Thanks for the link, Seeker. I've got a few adventures for D&D 3.0 that I would consider adding to your site. I have a few questions: 1) Do you require a specific format? I've got the adventures in Word, but I could email them to my work account so I can convert them to PDF. 2) Many of my adventures are actually old D&D adventures (2nd ed or even older), with minor or major changes to the maps, plotlines, NPCs, etc. Are there copyright concerns for this? 3) Based on what I've seen, everything is free, ie. people don't pay to download the adventures, and writers don't get paid to upload their adventures. Is that correct? That's cool with me, but I just want to verify that this is correct.

Seriously though, this is a good idea. There is a lot of talent out there and sharing is a good thign...almost as good as buying my forthcoming The Crystal Skull from Necromancer Games! ;) Sorry for the shameless pimping.

There are no copyright concerns for older material, as long as you do not reproduce content of the games. I have noticed that even Palladium adventures (the most regulated company I know of) have pretty extensive detail. 3. Everything is free on RPGArchives.com 4. (Addendum): This is not my site. I just happen to like it a lot.

Let me clarify my question: I have many adventures that are adaptations of existing, published D&D adventures (from 2nd ed and older). In some cases these adaptations include only sufficient changes to make it 3.0-compatible. In other cases, the adaptations are much more significant. Is this a problem?
Seeker95 01-28-05, 04:29 PM	Ricky, I would not recommend posting conversions. The site is for adventures. Not snippets. Nothing against the rules on it that I can tell. I just wouldn't recommend it.
