Something like say, decipher script, disguise, rope use to tie someone up. What are the benefits to this? I heard someone say that every person adds a +2 circumstance bonus, yet that gets stupid since the group could just have random NPC's help them out and get +2 for each one or help from someone who knows nothing about it. |
| MaxDog04-18-05, 10:30 PM | At the DMs discrescion (sp?), anyone with the requesite skills may aid another in a skill check. Each person aiding must make a DC 10 skill check to successfully aid. They cannot take 10 on this check. Each successful aid check adds +2 to the aided skill check. The DM may put limits on the number of people who aid (typically, 2 or 3, although I've seen as many as 8). |
