Complete Worth my Time? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-10-06, 08:45 PM To me, Complete Warrior is a excellent. The Base and Prestige Classes kick ass, the Feats sway combat, and the new weapons are powerful (espically love the War Mace and Composite Great Bow).

To those with Complete Warrior and Complete Divine, I ask if Divine measures up in the way Warrior does? I'm most intrigued by the Prestige Classes and Feat selection.

Complete Arcane and Complete Divine are pretty good.

Complete Adventurer is okay.

If you can, check to see what's actually contained in each book as far as feats and PrCs and buy the ones that contain stuff you'd actually want to play in the forseeable future.

02-10-06, 09:45 PM I love all the Complete manuals, but Warrior is the best by far. So don't expect the others to be as good. My second favourite is Complete Adventurer, but it's just a matter of personal taste.

02-13-06, 01:58 AM I purchased Complete Divine Saturday and I am not disappointed.

True it does not measure up to Warrior, but I'm unsure how any other book ever could.

My only complaint are the typo's and lack of finishing. And the art. Big eyes. Women's chests and man's faces.

I espically loved the further explaination of the gods, their organizations, their prayers, and their temples.

The spells are great, not alot for lower level Clerics and Druids but the stuff at higher levels makes up for that.

Thanks to those who answered my orignal post.

02-13-06, 03:31 AM I love all of the Complete books. Yes, the Complete Divine has a lot of typos. You can get the erratas from the D&D web site. The Complete Warrior is the best probably because it is the first. When I saw it, I was hooked and bought it even though I wasn't actively playing at the time. The wow factor of the Complete book was what hooked me. The subsequent ones didn't have the same wow factor because I was more or less expecting something similar. Still I love them all and will get the Complete Psionic when it comes out later this year.
