Arturius1 11-27-07, 08:02 PM	I was thumbing the Monster Manual today and as I stopped on Githzerai, I noticed they had a language not found in the Player's Handbook: Githzerai. What's more, they could choose Slaad as a bonus language. Reflecting upon that, I recalled that drow used Drow Sign Language, and dragon gods knew Aragrahk (ancient high wyrm). It got me wondering just how many languages there are in D&D both in and out of the PHB. Could anyone point me in the direction of a possible list?
Krusk 11-27-07, 08:26 PM	I dont know if one exists, but i always compile my own whenever I dm. It usually consists of the only languages you will run into in the world, so putting ranks in another probably isn't too helpful. Races that speak their own special language outside of my list are defaulted to draconic, common, infernal, celestial, abyssal or undercommon as approperiate.
KillerVole 11-27-07, 09:45 PM	I saw one, a couple of years ago. It was a second edition resource (I think, maybe 3e) and it had almost everything. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it, and when I searched later, I could not find it. I know the list exists, somewhere, on the internet, but I don't know where. I would be incredibly grateful if someone who knows where it is could post a link. If we can't find one, I suppose we could compile one here...

Such a list would be a great reference. Someone did an alchemical substance list earlier this month, and I am already getting a lot of use out of it.
