Ehelonna 02-05-06, 02:32 AM	Damage before the caster's initiative is ignored... and has been since the publication of 3.0. Damage during casting requires a concentration check for each individual attack. I'm not sure where your "combined damage" bit comes from since it doesn't appear anywhere in the rules. :rolleyes:

There is an exception. damage from a continous source is considered to have half come at the time of casting. So Melf's Acid Arrow can force its concentration checks even if not cast at the same time as the spell it's disrupting.
