Confirmed Features of 4E? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-02-07, 04:01 PM Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me or lead me to confirmed features of D&D 4E that have been released so far? I'm not talking about any D&DI material but rather the rules. I'm trying to decided whether I want to switch sometime when it does come out, since I just re-bought the 3.5 core books, but want to know the specific changes.

So far, I hear some skills have been combined into Perception, which I like, but other than that I haven't heard much...

Weapon choice matters- fighters will get a selection of bonus stuff that they can do depending on weapon choice (a spear will have a different selection than a sword for example)

Racial abilities- racial abilities now extend beyond 1st. As you level, you can 'unlock' new racial abilities.

most stuff has not been explicity stated. For instance, we don't know what exactly these new weapon abilities are.
