I understand a few of the classes benefits, but now I'm really questioning if it's worth losing a spell level to take. I guess what I really want to know is what the heck do the following abilities mean? Do Consecrated/Purified spell normally take longer to cast, or do these do something different?

Faster Consecrate (Ex): At 2nd level, an exalted arcanist can spontaneously cast spells with the Consecrate Spell feat without extending the spells' casting time.

Faster Purify (Ex): At 4th level, an exalted arcanist can spontaneously cast spells with the Purify Spell feat without extending the spells' casting time.

The other thing I really don't get it this statment. This is the ONLY place I can find mention of the word 'sanctified'. What are they talking about here?

Sanctified Spells: A 5th-level exalted arcanist can use sanctified spells as though they were among her spells known.

I think "Consecrate Spell" and "Purify Spell" are good-aligned metamagic feats.

Sanctified spells are the good equivalent of Vile spells.

All Sorcerer spells take longer to cast. And having access to all Exalted spells does give you a certain level of flexibitliy, as well as give you access to classes that requires you have a certain number of spells of a certain type, like Archmage and Loremaster.

This class is only open to Spontaneous Arcane Casters...

A spontaneous arcane caster using a metamagic feat (other than Quicken) uses a Full round action! That's why the "faster" abilities are there, to use them as Standard action using the feat as well!

Sanctified spells are normally open ONLY to caster who prepare their spells and not to spontaneous casters. There are generally very good spells such as Luminous Armor which for example adds a +5 AC without restricting movement and imposing a -4 penalty on the opponents' attack rolls. Other spells let u grow wings... Check them out! They're pretty cool!

Generally yeah! It's a great PrC to take up! I never regreted it, not even 1 of its levels!
