| Elidibs01-20-07, 09:57 AM | Do players add the constitution modifier to character hit points every time a character gains a level, or just once? Not sure if this is the right place to put this. |
| Witch01-20-07, 10:02 AM | ...every time :) Once for every hit die. |
| Malraux01-20-07, 11:12 AM | Note that changes in CON are also retroactive. Meaning that if at 8th level you raise your CON from 13 (+1) to 14 (+2), you gain hp as though you had that higher CON from the beginning. |
| hmmmm01-20-07, 11:14 AM | Everytime you level up. |

| Seeker9501-20-07, 01:07 PM | Treat your hit points like this: Current Max Hit Points = (Total of Die Rolls) + (Character Level X Con Modifier) Current Hit Points = (Current Max Hit Points) - (Current Damage Total) There is no "retroactive" aspect of Con modifiers to hit points. Con Modifiers are "current" all the time. Your current Con modifier affects your current hit points. If it goes up (Con boost), your current (and current max) hit points go up. If it goes down (Con damage), your current (and current max) hit points go down. |
| Elidibs01-21-07, 11:31 AM | Current Max Hit Points = (Total of Die Rolls) + (Character Level X Con Modifier) So, let me get this straight-- correct me if I'm wrong. Fergus the level 7 Human Sorcerer has a constitution score of 15, giving him a +2 modifier. He has 17 hit points from previous die rolls. In addition, he gets two extra hit points per level because of his constitution score. So he really has 31 hit points. If someone drained six of his constitution and dropped him down to 10, he'd be reduced to...10 hit points? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |

And in that case he will indeed be reduced to 10 hitpoints. |
| Seeker9501-21-07, 03:51 PM | Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And what would you like us to do if you're right? :D |

| Elidibs01-22-07, 02:54 PM | No ale? But ale can only be consumed. D: Screw ale. I want mead. |
| hmmmm01-22-07, 06:15 PM | Ahh but if you consume (And get the wimminz to consume) enough of it, interesting things can happen.:D |
