That's the booklet you're looking for; it's not perfect but it's passable. It converts from AD&D 2e to 3rd Edition, which isn't hard to convert to 3.5. |

| Seeker9502-26-07, 07:17 PM | tempest pointed you to the conversion document. I want to suggest something a little bit different. I find conversion to be less mechanical than the document would make it seem, although I still suggest a "step by step" approach. 1a. Take the monsters and use the 3.5 versions. 1b. Examine these to see if CR is still level appropriate. 1c. Replace with more appropriate monsters where needed. 2a. Assign DCs to traps and non-combat encounters. 3a. Reduce the treasure. (2e adventures were quite treasure heavy.) Little else needs to be done. For NPCs that are not monsters, build a new NPC by concept, rather than conversion. Everything else is handled similarly -- concept over mechanics. It has gotten o the point where I don't even convert ahead of time. Once I am familiar with the adventure, I just convert as we go. |
