Hi all. I'm not sure where on these boards this belongs, or indeed if it belongs really in this board at all and not on a classic Marvel board, but since D&D is file SUPER HEAVY and I want this all to nicely inhabite a single 256 meg memory stick, I am converting my present long running D&D campaign (which has reached the Epic level crux) into a Marvel campaign for the summer. Why classic Marvel? Ease and small comparitive size while being able to handle almost any power level with a fair degree of ease, yet still retaining enough complexity to allow for a massive degree of the differentation that matters so much for D&D (if you are as fascile with the rules system and it's permutations as I am) and heroic fantasy in general.

The questions really are about balance stressing the two systems; especially the magic systems, while maintaining the D&D flavor. So, has anyone attempted this before? If so, how did you equate, say differential damage into classic Marvel's rank system? I know how I am planning to do it, but I really want other, non-aligned ideas to compare and contrast with so that I don't trip up three iterations from now on obvious basic blunders in my ideology necessitating my scrapping the ideologies that just won't fit.
