| Thwyvylyn09-25-06, 09:51 PM | Well about a month and a half ago I quit WoW for the 2nd time. I'd rather like to avoid getting sucked back in so I decided to convert my gnome warlock to standard dnd rules so I could use her in most any setting. (Well she won't be a "warlock" in dnd but it's still the same idea. Also note I am converting her from the computer game not the rpg version of WoW. I'd like to use her in Eberron for instance.) Anyway, does anyone have an idea as to what the WoW level to DnD level conversion ration is? Straight up it's just 3 WoW levels to 1 DnD level which makes sense in most cases but not totally. Any other ideas? |

Same classes, same races, same setting, except it's run like D&D so to speak. Rather thick book too. |

The issue I am trying to figure out is how to convert my WoW character to another setting say Eberron. Therefore I am trying to figure out the level to level conversion ratio. |

The rules for creating technological devices are a little broken, but a good GM can deal with them I think. I have a dwarven warrior/gunman modeled after Grammaton Clerics and I'm trying to work his personality into Doc Holiday from Tombstone. I'm trying to avoid him getting the nicname "Doc" because my group with immediately go all "Snow White" with the jokes (I think it will take all of 1.2 seconds). It is a lot of fun. I would see if your local library can get a copy for you. Check it out and then buy it if you like it. |

| Reinforcements09-26-06, 11:20 AM | There's actually both a Warcraft RPG and a World of Warcraft RPG. Both use d20, so they ought to be easy to use. The Wacraft RPG has several books, but I think WoW RPG only has one. Let me see... World of Warcraft RPG (http://www.amazon.com/World-Warcraft-Roleplaying-Game/dp/1588467813/sr=8-1/qid=1159283872/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-2780341-5336737?ie=UTF8&s=books) Warcraft RPG (http://www.amazon.com/Warcraft-Roleplaying-Game-Arthaus/dp/1588460711/sr=8-2/qid=1159283980/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-2780341-5336737?ie=UTF8&s=books) There ya go. |
| Egarb09-26-06, 11:24 AM | Should be fairly easy to do since it uses d20 rules. Just make your character in the warcraft RPG and use it as is. |
