| Gaelforcwynd11-24-06, 05:59 AM | I have heard that there are some revised printings of the core rule books for D&D 3.5 edition. My PHB says first printed in July 2003, special edition printed in October 2004. My DMG just says first printed in July 2003 as does my MM. Does anyone know if there are reprinted editions of the DMG and MM? If anyone knows about this, can they tell me how many reprintings there have been since the first printing in July 2003? |
| Lecen_of_Mitran11-24-06, 07:42 AM | Are you talking about the special edition core books? They are all out there by now, you should take a look at the products page! |
| stonehill_troll11-24-06, 08:43 AM | From what people have posted both the PH and DMG are in their second printing and include the errata. They are marked in the inside Special Edition printing... and should include a second printing date. No one has posted (that I have seen) that they purchased a second printing Monster Manual. The Special Edition "Leather Bound" versions include all the errata for the PH, DMG, and MM. |
| CharlieRock11-24-06, 09:25 AM | Mine are first printings, and are going to be collectors items when 4.0 comes out ... KIDDING !!! :gah: |
| The_Jester11-24-06, 11:23 AM | I had first printings of all three core books for 3.5 and 3.0 until my earlier set got lent out and never returned. :( There's been no word on reprints but it makes sense. It's been three years since 3.5 which came out three years after 3.0 so they're probably thinking Core books again. But the 2007 is full up so the earliest would be 2008. I'd love to see reprints of all the books with clarified rules (keeping in mind the FAQ), full and improved errata, additions (swift and immediate actions), the best of the best of feats, spells and PrC for inclusion, new artwork. I'm sure they could even tweak the rules in needed places (polymorph). |
| Gaelforcwynd11-24-06, 02:36 PM | The 2004 reprint of the PHB that I got has all the errata that you can download from this side already included. But the DMG and MM I have don't and they are the 2003 editions. I just assumed that their would be 2004 special editions (with the same covers, not leather) available. |

| Gaelforcwynd11-25-06, 05:12 PM | You are 100% correct. IŽd like to see a core book like that. WOTC makes too much money out of the reams of badly edited, incomplete, ill concieved, poorly planned hardcover material they sell. As long as there's a market to lap it up, I'm sure we will see a number of 'complete' editions in the not too distant future. |

Because aside from the leatherbound DMG, I haven't seen a Special Edition Printing of the standard-bound DMG. After buying the leatherbound PHB, that's one too many in my collection. Can anyone confirm what you stated? |

I bought a MM last week and it too was a July 2003 printing. I would hate to think there are updated versions available and these were still sitting on the shop shelve's. I hope there aren't reprintings of them! |

Too bad we can't search, but it was in a thread here in the General board, around August/September timeframe. In the same thread or similar thread someone posted about errata being sneaked in that was not in the official errata PDF. |
| Ranger REG12-02-06, 01:29 AM | Can anybody from WotC confirm that they released the $30 (US) Special Editing Printing of the standard-bound Dungeon Master's Guide v.3.5? |
