I'm having troubles filling out my character sheet, and if you're wondering, its the sheet that comes in the back of the 3.5 player's handbook. there are a couple sections that are confusing  me and i was hoping for some help..

Thats where you put the stats for your weapon. Attack is the name of the weapon, attack bonus is your base attack bonus + str bonus for melee or dex for ranged, damage is the dice the weapon does + str for melee, critical is the range where your score a critical hit and the multiplier for damage, range is only for ranged weapons and is how far you can shoot without taking a penalty, type is the damage type(slashing piercing bludge), notes could include feats you can apply to the attack or special properties you enchant the weapon with. Check page 116 of the players handbook for the stats on weapons.

Also note on the weight/encumbrance (how much your character can carry) the list on page 162 is for medium size creatures, if you are playing a halfling, gnome, or otherwise "small" it reads out on that page how to handle the given weight allowances.
