creating character that are like others [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-12-07, 06:45 PM i basiclly want 2 create characters based off other characters and races but not thouse characters or races its confusing .

ex: naruto i want 2 bulid a character that has naruto like abilities but is not naruto

im not totally lost i got this much

naruto archtype - male-human-epic rouge(prc -for ninjas in the naruto style but still like dnd ) has a spirt of a fox demon withen him which grants bouns like quick healing and a berzerk mode .

any basic pop culture character w/ do

ex:
raven- teen titans go!
inu yasha
ben 10
link-loz
sora-kingdomhearts
ect...

please help :)

02-12-07, 08:06 PM 1. Use the shift key to make the first letter of sentences and proper nouns capitalized. It can be found on both the right and left side of most keyboards.

2. The words 'to' 'two' and 'too' are each spelled differently. None of them require the use of a numeral.

3. When using a Player's Handbook, you can generally build any character concept you want. Expanding to non-core supplemental texts will give you the ability to turn "generally" to "always".

4. Naruto is a ninja. You can build a ninja as a stylized monk, rogue, multiclass monk-rogue, or even non-core base class ninja.

02-13-07, 07:44 AM People seem to have covered the spelling, grammar, punctuation, and Naruto.

Link is obviously some sort of Ranger, Fighter, combination of both, combination of one and Paladin, and some may argue Bard (But I say he just has magical flutes).

Sora will require custom creation that many people have tackled in the past. I say work with the Soulknife flavor until you like it.

Ben 10 is too modern. It just is.

Someone else wanna try Inuyasha and Raven? I happen to hate both shows.

I'd just suggest making something easier and, you know, unique. Impress your gaming group. Don't walk in with Drizzt Do'Urden named something different. If you submitted to me a character based on (ie. directly based on) a character from a cartoon, anime, or video game, I'd probably laugh out loud then ask if you're serious. I don't care what kind of fanboy you are, you don't get to instantly be the hero of the show.
