I'm looking to publish an extensive set of Critical/Fumble tables as a PDF Ebook. Problem is, I'm somewhat stuck on a good title for the product. So, I come to you in search of a name. It's bloody, it's very graphic, and it's meant to put the fear back into a battle.

I know it's not much, but if I use your name for my product, I'll throw in a finished product Free of charge.

Here's two examples, a mid-level wound with a Sharp hand weapon to the torso...

12. “The blade drives deep into the flesh above the hip, buckling the knees and
sending the victim quickly to the ground. When wrenched free it causes a momentary
black out from the pain.”

Temporary & Situational: No actions are possible for 2 rounds and there’s a -4 AC for the following 1d4 rounds
Until Treated: -4 to all actions.
Until Healed: -2 modifier to all physical actions.
HEALER'S ATTENTION.

A deadly critical with a large Bashing weapon to the head...

20. “The tremendous impact of the weapon crushes the skull and snaps the spine,
bouncing the head off of the shoulder before it lolls obscenely backwards on broken
tendons and purpled flesh. Death comes long before the body hits the ground”

DEATH.

I told you it was violent.

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I have a prototype product ready for official playtesting and am now looking for two or three individuals (outside of my own gaming groups) interested in testing the system. You will need to sign a basic Non-Disclosure Agreement, then I will send you a playtest version of the Tome of Woe PDF (1.5mb).

If this sounds interesting to you, PM me and we'll discuss the details.

Thanks,
Kevin.

I'm a little interested in this, only because of your nice discriptions...but how have you handeled Fumbles? You seem to have covered Critical hits.

Also...is this basicaly the Combat and Tactics (ala 3.5) version of wounds?

1. Same sort of descriptive tables for Hand Weapon, Missile weapon, Thrown Weapon and Natural weapon fumbles.

2. I sort of remember Combat and Tactics, but not the details of how the system worked, so..... that'd be a definite maybe :) . This system was influenced more by WarHammer FRPG than anything, though the rules and descriptions are all mine.
