My lvl 5 warforged barbarian I want to cross class into artificer but want the racial substitution so i can get infuse self. Can I do it and if I can what is the procedure to take? I only want three levels of artificer (want to be able to repair myself is all) so can I continue taking levels normally as a barbarian afterward? |

You are requesting things that occur in multiple non-Core sources. The degree to which any of them is permitted is very campaign- (DM-)specific. Multi-classing, however, is pretty well explained in the Player's Handbook. When you gain a level, take whatever class you want, as long as you meet the criteria and requirements. What your DM allows is one of those requirements and criteria. |

You can use one of three craft skills to repair your self. It heals your check result -15 and takes 8 hours. Warforge repair kit adds +2 to the check. Might want to invest in skill focus (armorsmithing) as well. There is a good numbers of other ways to heal without repair spells. |
