Hello everyone,

I have yet to figure out how to make a personallized avitar, and I have a pic in waiting right now. Could you please fill me in on the details?

Thank you.

You can't.

The right to a Custom Avatar has to be earned. The typical way of doing this is to win a UnCon competition.

the only people who get custom avatars are uncon winners, people who maintain FAQ's and board affairs, mods and admin

Yeah, it's just a little thing that adds to the swagger of vet users.
It really means nothing, though.
Edit: I've also wondered why signatures are disallowed from containing images.

Yeah, I think it's kinda silly and dumb myself. But whatever Wizards wants to make themselves feel better  . Anywho, my title is built into my name so I'm just fine and dandy. I also like my avatar anyway, so I'm happy there too :)

Personally, I think that, unless you want a picture of yourself, you really have enough avatars to choose from.

Well if that is a comment on my spelling, I am dislexic. I try my hardest with a lot of things, but with social discutions like this I try to relax. You should consider doing the same.

Let's focus on something besides the title's and OP's spelling, and consequently Gaffer's spelling, lol.

I've always been happy with the avatars they provide us...though I wish they had put some up from MM4. It wasn't my favorite MM, but some of the art would have made killer avatars.

Me too. I have never changed mine. I'm one of the avatar grampas on these boards.

I wouldn't mind having a picture of myself drinking cod liver oil... while drunk. It's an excellent picture, really.

I like my current avatar just fine... Kind of looks like me, too. :)
I used to have a different one, but I just started to see it being used by too many people, so I understand the desire for a personal one, just as long as they don't slow down load times.
I would enter UnCon... If I saw a contest that I actually thought I might do okay in.

I otherwise like my avatar, except that this "SpawnOfMorgoth" has same avatar as I do, so it makes me feel less unique. There aren't enough green avatars and most of them aren't so great. This one is cool because it has great glow and the 'Ernie' was good too but that one was too much in use (I have seen about 9 who already have that one).

CAs are limited to save bandwidth and to prevent CoC-violating avatars from being used. Can you imagine if the WizOs had to check each and every user's avatar to see if something unsuitable was used? That would be a full time job for all of them. And then who would moderate the boards?

The sig images is for the same reason.

Ah, he beat me to it. Such things are doable on small forums, you know, less than 500 people or so. But on a board with 40 THOUSAND active posters, well you get the idea.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Sorry.
But it would help in some manner, no?

True. That and having time *Mutters something about a "Real Life" getting in the way"
