Any word on 4.0 books I have no books yet and was thinking 3.5 if 4.0 was a long ways off.Thanks

Well, there's 3.75, 3.875, 3.9375, 3.96875, ... Zeno says 4.0 is a long way off.

17 January 1978 - TSR publishes AD&D Player's Handbook
1989 - TSR releases AD&D (Second Edition)
10 April 1997 - Wizards of the Coast acquires TSR, Inc.
6 August 1999 - Wizards of the Coast announce upcoming release of D&D3E
30 September 1999 - Hasbro, Inc. acquires Wizards of the Coast
10 August 2000 - WotC releases D&D3E Player's Handbook
11 September 2000 - WotC releases D&D3E Dungeon Master's Guide
16 October 2000 - WotC releases D&D3E Monster Manual
July 2003 - WotC releases D&D 3.5E (all 3 core rulebooks)

A tenative guess Summer/Fall 2006 for 4.0's release. Check monte cook's site for his take on 3.5 where he mentioned 3rd edition was originally to be upgraded in 2005/2006 and since 3.5 isn't a full upgrade....

Well, White Wolf does one about every 3-4 years.

So I don't think 2006-7 is too far off.

I bet about 2010 or so, if you look at past patterns it makes some sense.
