This is an ongoing thread, open for ideas and comments. The idea is to divide each setting into separate MMORPGs. Supplements to each setting would be treated as expansions. The idea is to go beyond what already exists in a fashion that holds true to the D&D ideal. I'm looking for input and thoughts on design, storyline, basics, and those little details that add the extra touch.
So far, the settings:

World of Greyhawk

Faerun

Eberron

Ravenloft
Kadasbrass

I think only Eberron and FR would have the numbers high enough to justify a mmorpg. And even then it would most likely have to come between one or the other. Gotta remember that mmropgs needs ALOT of people to pay for programmers, servers, maintaince, and so forth.

What about Dark Sun or Spelljammer? Well... Spelljammer would need the others set up first...

But Dark SUN!

Okay, what should be available in all:
PHB
DMG
MM1-3, MM5 (MM4 will not bear it's head again!)
FF
MoI
ToB
ToM
XPH
MagI Com
Spell Com
and the Complete books.

Greyhawk:
Sandstorm
Frostburn
some of the adventures

FR:
FRCS (obviously...)
PGF
RoF

Eberron:
ECS (Of course)
RoE
PGE
Sharn
Xendrik
Drags of Eb
Dragonmarked (no acronyms...)

Ravenloft:
Expedition?

Not to rain on your parade, but I believe there is a D&D MMORPG: Dungeons & Dragons Online, it is set in Eberron I believe.

I suggest a MMORPG based in Birthright setting, with a strong component of trade and diplomacy, with option of "life simulation" (sims, singles 2, deseperate housewife: the videogame, partners, Animal Crossing, Viva Piņata..) with something of optional farm simulation, or/and pirate/sea trade simulation (the first Pirates of Caribbean or Port Royal game).

After, with more experencie, the nest try attempt would be Krynn, the dragonlance setting.

A arcade videogame of dark sun, and new comic with the "classic" look of the artist Brom could be a new opportunity for franchise.

A (new) Ravenloft videogame would be to likely to the saga of Castlevania. (Have yo seen the movie of Val Helsing?), but perhaps a survival horror like the saga of Resident Evil would be a great publicity....Always I am thinking about Ravenloft like a setting for monster PCs (werebeast versus vampires versus feys..). The problem is Ravenloft could became a "gothic" Jurasic Park of supernatural creatures (specially the undeads). And I can not avoid it, but lot of times I think in World of Darknes from White Wolf publishing....(at least the idea of diferents vampires clans, like movies of Underworld or Blade TV serie).

Well, a White Wolf imprint WAS publishing a line of Ravenloft d20 books for a few years with good reason.

Also, what I would to see is a generic setting that tries to follow the rules as closely as possible and allows users to build certain parts of it for exploration by others.
