The website doesn't appear to sell anything nor does it appear to turn a profit. Near as I can tell it's a personal webspace of the same kind most every ISP hands out to their users. The base site appears to be a european ( French? Netherlands? Belgium?) ISP and in that particular sense would be advertising, except if they were to ban that they'd have to ban all links to any ISP user's personal webspace, which would just be ridiculous. Unless you're referring to the cartoon itself, in which case you are completely incorrect. |

Aww good old Japan to bad I could not afford a trip there this summer, I could afford the round trip tickets and accomidations for 2 weeks but would have no shopping money and what a trip to Japan without shopping? Just sight seeing a sex thats what, hardly worth the entire trip. |

I was a teenager when this series aired, and lemme' tell you...I was up at the crack of dawn every Saturday morning to see D&D and (embarrassingly) Muppet Babies. Given that I endured the 70's cartoons and the whole Sid & Marty Kroft era, I thought the 80's animation was leaps and bounds ahead of, say Hong Kong Phooey (which is still cool) and crap like The Banana Bunch. Just like you kids know that Mucha Lucha (the Flea is the best!) or Cowboy Bebop, totally kicks :censored: over G.I.Joe animation. I'm darn near 37 and I get up every Saturday morning to watch cartoons with my kids, and someday maybe I'll get to watch a new series of D&D cartoons with them. Wishful thinking;) |

For example, a fan site with original D&D creations and a link to Amazon wouldn't count as a "commercial" site, nor would a site with banner ads that connect to commercial sites. I remember watching Battle of the Planets after school in the late 70's. I believe the original cartoon that Sandy Frank cut up (people died hard in the original) and added characters to (7-Zark-7, and 1-Rover-1) debuted in the early to mid 70's in Japan. It was called Gatchaman. The heroes were "science ninjas" and they didn't fight aliens, but a secret terrorist organization. They added the aforementioned robots and made it a space cartoon to capitalize on the Star Wars craze of the late 70's. I've got the Battle of the Planets DVDs volumes 1-6 by Rhino. They are cool, because they contain both the Battle of the Planets and Gatchaman versions of the same episodes. You can really see how TV execs try to change things for American audiences and how it ends up just dumbing down the material. |

I cant remember how old I was but i wasnt a teenager yet, or barely a teen, and my parents were convinced back then that AD&D was evil and wouldnt let me watch it, so i would get up and have the tv just barely loud enough to hear it and half listen for them, i would love to watch that again. Now they dont think AD&D is evil though, of course i would tell them some parts of our games about what happened and how we defeated evil and all that, would always leave out the part where my character was almost evil and would take finger bones and stuff hehehe. |
