| johnkretzer05-12-06, 04:35 PM | Is there any talk about them releasing a Character Sheet folio for all the new core classes they have come out with? I would buy it. |
| Xeviat-DM05-12-06, 04:38 PM | First off all, since this isn't an anounced title, I don't think this thread will last too long. Second, if you go to the D&D homepage, you'll find a link to a new character sheet they seemed to have cooked up; I don't like the lack of artistry in it, but it may be faster to use; I'm not sure yet. |
| Tempest Stormwind05-12-06, 04:38 PM | Just use a generic sheet. They often have better layouts (http://www.mad-irishman.net), too. Or, you know, make your own. I honestly think that releasing a unique sheet for each type of class in the game was one of the poorer moves they could have made, but that's just me. EDIT: The sheet on the website has a better layout than the earlier "deluxe" sheets, but it's still rather subpar. I definitely still prefer the one I linked above, particularily if you play with layer support. |
| sir_dwar05-12-06, 05:18 PM | I personally like the new charecter sheet, but there is one GLARING FLAW. YOU FORGOT THE SPELL LIST, WOTC! Thankfully, the Hypertext SRD has a spell/ psionic power list sheet. Temptest-The psionic sheets are actually pretty good, although I wish they'd jsut made a generic one (Multiclassing/Board Creations are hard to use). The only charecter sheet they made I think was very nessacery was the warlock one, which is because the had a different system from any other class. Truenamers, ShadowCasters, and Binders may/may not need a new sheat, depending on what their mechanics are (I don't have ToM) |
| Kelvor Ravenstar05-12-06, 09:42 PM | I'm glad that they've finally posted these sheets online, which I first saw packaged with the Race collection box set, but I do have one problem with these sheets, and its not the spell list. The skills are on the back! I dislike having to flip the sheet over or keep it folded out, double sized, for something used just as often as the combat statistics. |
| SOPI05-12-06, 10:21 PM | I like this sheet. It's not the best sheet, and it's a bit unorganized, but it has sections for rage, psioincs, turning undead, familiars, and all sorts of great stuff. Plus it has animal "Companioins". |

Second, if you go to the D&D homepage, you'll find a link to a new character sheet they seemed to have cooked up; I don't like the lack of artistry in it, but it may be faster to use; I'm not sure yet. First: I have seen alot of threads here about what people wouldlike to see released. So I thought this was the place. Second: My problem with the one you can download is it is 4 pages long or 2 pages long. My printer can't handle pages long enough to put it on one page. I was just thinking it would be a good idea. |
| Xeviat-DM05-13-06, 04:55 PM | There's a new one; it's five pages long (though some characters can easily throw out one of the pages since it concerns spellcasters). Here's the Link (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20060512a). |
| FlameLover05-13-06, 10:02 PM | Yeah, i'm currently working on one which I'll release on the boards once it's done. It's very basic in design (just uses text boxes in word) but it's designed to be concise and modable (in that you can add a sheet if your a spellcaster, add a sheet if your a psion, etc.). But really making your own is simple, and the new ones cover most things anyway. I just add to the back of my sheets at the moment to cover new stuff (my psion has just written all his details on the back page of his sheet for example). In fact last session the sorceror just used grid paper and placed stuff roughly like the sheet from the PHB. He did forget to add some stuff, but it worked surprisinlgy well overall. |
| Amaril05-14-06, 11:40 AM | There's a new one; it's five pages long (though some characters can easily throw out one of the pages since it concerns spellcasters). Here's the Link (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20060512a). The one I see at that link is only 4 pages long. Are you sure about that 5th page? |
| ctuttle05-14-06, 12:12 PM | I would purchase a package of new character sheets as well. (So I agree with the OP). |
| Izodor_Shadowcaster05-14-06, 12:41 PM | :behold: OMG I hate it. It is just more useless. Almost a whole page with possesions and than possesions not on person. WHo do they think we are! We can remember that we did not bring our horse or house! Thank You WOTC! I hate it!!! |

We can remember that we did not bring our horse or house! Thank You WOTC! I hate it!!! yeah, how dare they force you to use such a sheet that others might find more useful. As imprtant as this is for your well being, it's ridiculous that they even think of offering this free resource to D&D players. |
| WizO_Sith05-14-06, 02:05 PM | First, Moved to the D&D General Forum *Bamf* --- On topic... FWIW, I'd actually like to see the Deluxe Eberron Character Sheets (the ones located =>HERE<= (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/eberron/950050000)) released as a downloadable PDF. I *REALLY* like the layout of the sheets and I find the Adventure Records & Character Development Sheets extremely useful). I'd even be willing to pay the same price as the Hardcopy version (a printable Character sheet is simply more useful to me than a hardcopy/copy-able one). Just my $0.02 |
| Ra-Tiel05-14-06, 02:33 PM | Hi. === First off all, since this isn't an anounced title, I don't think this thread will last too long. Second, if you go to the D&D homepage, you'll find a link to a new character sheet they seemed to have cooked up; I don't like the lack of artistry in it, but it may be faster to use; I'm not sure yet. I came, I saw, I deleted it. Meh... *shudder* Seriously, that sheet is terrible! It's wasting so much space... do I really need boxes that big to write in "14/+2"? The basic PHb sheet was much better. Or, as Tempest Stormwind suggested, use a third-party sheet like mad-irishman or ema. === Greetings, _Ra-Tiel. |
