D&D, choose your own adventure DVD? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-15-05, 09:10 PM I saw a DVD, Scourge of Worlds, in the store just now. Apparently it's a movie with plot choice points, and over a thousand storyline possibilities.

Anyone seen or heard of it?

03-15-05, 10:23 PM I've seen it. It's really quite well done. It's not as extensive as a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book, but that's more due to the limits of the DVD and filming time than anything else. It plays well, and is very re-playable.

One warning, though: some media programs may not know what to do with the plot choices. If this happens to you, just find another player. (I viewed it on a PC, so I have no idea how DVD players act)

03-15-05, 10:59 PM One of my friends has it. It's been out for like 2 or 3 years. It worked fine on my old (1st U.S. release) PS2. It's rather amusing for a few hours, but you really won't want much to do with it after that.

03-15-05, 11:30 PM yeah, it's kinda fun for a few run throughs. once you figure out all the plot paths and see the different endings, not much use for it. if you can get it reasonably cheap, it's fun entertainment for a bit.

for media players, i had no problem playing it in my XBOX.
