| Koga:The ninja trick11-03-03, 02:35 PM | Ever had a D&D related dream? The Koga did a couple months ago. So weird I rememberd it. I was obviously a ranger, by my light armor and short sword I could tell. It was in a modern day setting, and I found a seal at Sea World who was very depressed. (Animal empathy skill?) I waited for night time, and saw the tube he crawls out of to let the kids pet him was being blocked by a cage, I had to strip down to fit in the tube, somehow broke the cage, grabbed the seal, and was going to escape when the alarm went off. I had to hide. I could've hid in one place but there was BoVD stuff there lets just say. And somehow my clothes ended up missing. Morning was rising and the park would open it up fairly soon, no time to run away without getting caught, so I had to hide under a blanket. (Hide in plain sight?) Noone noticed me sept the seal who kept trying to kiss me. Some amatuer girl wanting to be a photogropher was taking pictures and noticed the strange lump under the blanket she uncoverd the blanket, she gasped, I screamed like a little girl, then The Koga woke up. How about you all? Any funny or interesting Dungeons&Dragons related dreams? :D |
| Getarnal_the_Drow11-04-03, 04:13 PM | Yes I once dreamt I was an evil wizard slaughtering the koga for making stupid threads. |
| Seeker9511-04-03, 04:25 PM | I haven't dreamed "in character" but I have had lots of dreams where we are playing the game / campaign we are involved in. Sometimes these dreams involve elements that I remember when I wake up, and can incorporate into the game. Other times, the dream involves the scene we just finished earlier that day. However, the Koga may have been looking for a more substantial dream. This is the wrong web address to find those kinds of dream, Koga. :P |
| Crunchy Frog11-05-03, 11:32 AM | I once had a dream that was somewhat D&D related. I dreamed that I was out in the wilderness, being chased by a vicious animal (perhaps a wolf). I saw a tall, modern building up ahead, and I ran to it, thinking, "If I don't get there in time, the animal will bite me, and infect me with a disease that will cause 1d6 damage to dexterity." That's all. |

| Istirith11-05-03, 09:13 PM | Yes I once dreamt I was an evil wizard slaughtering the koga for making stupid threads. Really? I had the same dream! In that dream I also killed you for replying to a post you thought was so stupid. |
| WizO_Pony11-06-03, 01:12 AM | I once dreamt that we could have threads where people kept the replies on topic and didn't call the other responses "stupid" quite so often. Then I woke up and logged on to this thread. :( How about doing a WizO a favor and keeping this one polite and on topic so I can in good conscience leave it open. Pretty Please...? |
| Darth Teddybear11-06-03, 02:44 PM | I once dreamt that I was a paladin. It was after a very stressful game in which my paladin character had been faced with several difficult moral decisions. In my dream I was being forced to watch the kingdom I served ripped to shreds by a bunch of evil wizards who incidentally very much resembled the other players in the game (not their characters). I broke free of my bonds (not really sure what was holding me...maybe dream molasses or something...), and rushed to the defense of the poor citizens, only to find out that they were the evil ones, and my friends were being killed by them. I woke up after that, but I was rather confused for the rest of the day. I've had other fantasy related dreams, but then, I also have a very active and rather intense REM cycle. I think it's interesting that I have dreams that I am sure that others would consider to be nightmares that don't bother me in the least...heh anyway... *wavity* |
| Impeesa11-07-03, 02:45 AM | I once saw a post over at ENWorld where someone posted about a dream he'd had... in his dream, he'd made a 1st level sorceror for a LG campaign, 28 point buy. He posted the stats - he'd done the math for a point buy character, in his head, in a dream. With only one slight mistake, too, which he was able to point out and give the reasoning for. You know you play too much D&D when... --Impeesa-- |

The Ranger REG spotted The Virgin Priestess Rachel in trouble! The Ranger REG will save you, Rachel! "Ouch! Rachel! The Ranger REG is in need of healing after The Ranger REG is impaled by a Tarrasque!" "Ooh. Rachel. The Ranger REG is excited you are sleeping in The Ranger REG's cot tonight." * The Ranger REG is ... * |
| Roman11-08-03, 06:31 AM | Ahh, yes, I have had several fantasy related dreams over the years. I can recall two of them. In the first one, I was assigned by the king of the land to escort a caravan. The caravan was composed of several soldiers, myself, several horses carrying large amounts of treasure and one one also an important woman hidden in a carriage, who was either the king's daughter or his wife - I do not know. The caravan was attacked by bandits who successfully killed all the soldiers, stole the treasure, kidnapped the daughter or wife and cut my arm off (hey, at least I did not die!). A villager somehow managed to save me and I recovered and had to learn how to operate with one arm and escape the king's persecution, as he was understandably mad at my incompetence. The second dream, which I have had several variations of, was stranger still. I was some type of wizard or psionicist or something along those lines and was obsessed with studying a certain crystal that had the potential to unleash great magical power. The exact nature of the dream varied depending on which particular one I look at, but in every case I had to go to great length and faced a dilemna of sacrificing moral principles to get to that crystal. (This is a somewhat rationalized version - the dream was just too weird to describe normally.) |
| UberBanshee11-08-03, 12:28 PM | Had one last night. I was some sort of rugged fighter/ranger type. I was accompanied by a Dwarven warrior (aren't they all) and some sort of rogish human. We stumbled into enemy territory and were imprisoned in a strange tower-like building. There was hardly any food, the cells leaked, and there was SOMETHING getting around in the ducts between cells, which were much too small for any normal person crawl through. The day of our execution came, I and the Dwarf. The setting was slightly technological, and we were about to get the electric chair. A strap on the old chair broke, freeing my arm. No time was wasted grappling the gaurd, whose only armament was a knife (just in case something like this happened). "Damn! No gun..." The next gaurd, leading out of the cell (his back was turned), wasn't so lucky. He got a knife to the spine and his rifle lifted. I lept atop a horse to do battle with the warden, who was amassing his horsemen. Many prisoners followed me as I prepared a charge... Meanwhile, the Dwarf had found a suitable opponent, dwarven kin carying a hammer on a chain, who had a mettalic beard. The dwarf had armed himself with a chaingun, and was attempting to kill his adversary with it. The beard was impenetrable, and the enemy began his counterattack... In his cell, the thief began hearing noises, blood-curdling noises. Through the vent, a black creature dived at him. A vicious looking thing of filth, it lunged with all its ferocity with a blackened knife. In the crampt cell, the two agile opponents squared off... Back on the battlefield, the two armies of horsemen traded blow for blow. In the center of the field, I found the warden, streaked in blood and ready for action. We both dropped our guns and drew swords... Dodging the fury that was the enemy dwarf's hammer, the staunch warrior caught on to the chain it was connected to with a cry of victory. "Hah! No ones e'er beaten me at a contest o' strength!" With a mighty heave, he threw the enemy dwarf from wall to wall, and finally, the dwarf's helment flew off. His beard shortened and turned normal. Rolling for the chaingun, the Dwarf lived up to his reputation as the body of his foe was torn to shreds under a hail of bullets... The theif was still engaged with his sickly adversary, fighting for his life in a cell that also sought to take it. With all the quickness of mind and body he could muster, he dodged the thing's lunge, twisted its arm behind it's back, and plunged the thing's own dagger into the back of its filthy neck... At last, the battle for the prison was drawing to an end. I and the warden clashed steal again and again, killing each other's horses in the heat of battle. Something strange crossed the warden's face. A smile? In my periferal vision, I saw one of the gaurds behind me, sword hurtling down at my back. Too late to stop it, but I can take out the warden. The warden had left his gaurd down when he saw me about to be killed. He payed for it with a sword in his belly. I resigned myself to the death blow from behind, but it never came. Standing over the carcas of the foe who would have taken my life were my two traveling companions. "You didn't think that cell could hold me for long, did you?" the thief said with some satisfaction. "You didn't think that any one enemy could hold ME for long, did you?" the dwarf said with a smirk. The dream ended as we carried on with the battle, victory assured at this point. Well, there is my epic. I didn't think it would be that long, but it was a very complicated dream. I hope someone finds the time to read this 300 page endeavor. Banshee |
| Dreamstryder11-11-03, 09:43 PM | Only one that was distinctly D&D (and not, say just of the fantasy genre) that I can recall now: A dwarf, an elf, and a fighter were fighting a dragon (it was the first episode of Record of Lodoss War in fact). Then things stopped being animated, and a dwarf that looked more like Gimli was sifting through the large pile of gold. I could feel the gold pieces through my gloves. Then it turns out my entire nuclear family was at the table playing D&D, and this was the session. I thought: "Wow! this is great! So I taught everybody how to play D&D; this is what I've wanted to do for a while!" Then I woke up sometime after that. Then I realized I wasn't at my family's house but in an apartment. Funny how you feel the room rearrange in your head when you realize the room is differently arranged than you expected. |
| thalious11-12-03, 03:51 AM | I remember a dream that is somwwhat D&D related. I was swinging through the air like tarzan on a vein over the ocean towards a cruise ship. I finally landed on deck and was told to go back cause I had not done my homework... Thing I wondered about most is how I swung on a vein over the ocean when there was not any trees or jungle around. |
| Tenzhi11-12-03, 04:10 AM | Most of my DnD-related dreams involve dragons and can't be posted here. I did recently have a fun dream where I was adventuring in a bowling alley/dungeon and fighting off hordes of skateboarding-ninja-drow, though. |
| thalious11-12-03, 04:14 AM | on the topic of undetailable dreams...... I once dreamt of a Drow Female wearing an an SS Uniform....... sexy and scary. |
