| GretalDaintyEars03-10-07, 09:53 AM | Hi All, A question from a noob (as I have been so rightly labeled) to anyone that might know. When creating our first game Enic found that after he upgraded his eTools from v3.0 to v3.5 (Ebberron) that in the MM character set the zombies were missing and the vermin were shortened. Was this caused by the upgrade? Also, I'm new but I wanted to see what a female skum looks like; I just don't understand why there's not an artist's rendering of the female/male of each species? Or are we to use our imaginations and artistic / creative skills to develop the looks? I've noticed a lot of great artists and hugely intellectual minds here; so I'm certain you all can help if it pleases thee :) Off to play the tauted 'Dark and Stormy Knight' that was suggested as an excellent starter / beginner game; already played a practice game, but today other live players enter the game YEAH! I look forward to hearing from anyone regarding whether Enic should maintain various version levels of eTools or not and about the art of portraying the two (or more?) sexes of every race / monster / etc... Cheers! Gretal Dainty Ears |

Don't, say, the female kobolds stay at home barefoot and pregnant? You can always diferentiate them "Disney" style and give the female of the species long eyelashes and a bow in their hair. |

Probably for the same reasons you usually don't come across non-adult monsters. Most people don't like the idea that the Goblin-infested cave they just cleaned was full of awful little Goblin families :D You can always diferentiate them "Disney" style and give the female of the species long eyelashes and a bow in their hair. Argh! I just thought of a female Beholder and now I can't get this Image out of my mind! |

| GretalDaintyEars03-15-07, 11:02 AM | Hi Birmy! We did finally figure it all out with the eTools; we’re just leaving Enic’s as the v3.5 (Ebberron update) and then mine if he wants the lower level. After looking through the ‘guts’ of the program he found that the updated had condensed and moved some of the data. Once he got that back into the correct folders, it was a major go!! ;) On the whole male / female thang…oh yeah…but long eyelashes and bows on some might be an improvement LOL. --------- Hi kshade, Yes, I’ve been to the cave infested with wee ones and it IS a horrible smelly mess to deal with! Yeck! But I think I’ll still draw it up out of imagination for kicks and giggles :D Hope your female Beholder is now just a distant dream….gumdrops and rainbows…gumdrops and rainbows…fairy dust, fairy dust, fairy dust….I believe you are healed LOL --------- Hi kingpaul, We did purchase the v3.5 books and he only upgraded his eTools from v3.0 to v.3.5 (Ebberron) and left mine as is…Roy, my brother-in law, who’s played D&D since day one of the game, played Oy the Kinder in our Dark and Stormy Knight game and he let Enic (Ed), who actually has been a player for 13+ years, but not really DM, have a bunch of master insights that have helped in being a DM in ‘the new age of 20-sided dice’ as they call it LOL…it’s all Greek to me as I’m so new I don’t even have experience points LOL…only because we didn’t complete the adventure yet…just a first-level noob :) --------- Thank you all for your fun and fact filled responses!! It makes me so happy that I’m a player now :) Cheers! Gretal Dainty Ears (Crystal) Always shoot for the moon...because even if you miss you'll still land among the stars...Les Brown |
| drizzt42003-15-07, 05:57 PM | My ETools allows me to switch from 3.0 to 3.5 whenever. I think (sorry I am at work)...Just go to "file" and then there should be an option to switch from 3.0 to 3.5 and vice versa. Then just restart ETools and viola! Not sure if this has anything to do with the Eberron 3.5 update however... |
| GretalDaintyEars03-16-07, 09:46 AM | Why thank you Drizzt420! I went to eTools - File - Game Mode on my computer, but it only shows the v3.0 version I'll show Enic your post and see if he can get mine to upload the true v3.5 (not just an Ebberron update "patch" - which is what he used) and perhaps that'll give me the switching capability you're talking about. Wow, all the people here are just so wonderful, helpful, funny and interesting! I'll just have to let you know how this turns out! Cheers, Gretal Dainty Ears di te incolumem custodiant Drizzt420.
