| The_Unfan06-06-06, 10:30 AM | canadian bacon pizza. For real. Don't believe me? Try playing with it one session and then without it the next. It makes the whole session go way smoother. |
| LCD2YOU06-06-06, 11:22 AM | 2: Minis and a battle map. 3: Pepsi (not C(h)oke) |
| BeyondFated06-06-06, 11:47 AM | 4) Sprite. I swear to Pelor, if you touch my Sprite, I will cram d4s into your eyes. 5) Dice. 6) Pencils. Preferably mechanicle ones. 7) Paper. 8) Character sheets. 9) Players. 10) DM(s). 11) Plot Lines. 12) Books. 12a) Preferably DnD Core Rulebooks. |

| The_Unfan06-06-06, 11:55 AM | 16. Hy Vee's generic ass diet black cherry cola. |
| Darkxarth06-06-06, 12:41 PM | 17. Black candles with purple flames, snarling two-headed dogs chained to the wall, and a fresh cup of Arkturan Mega-Juice. What? Doesn't everybody have this stuff at their sessions? All kidding aside... 18. My special, homemade DM screen. 19. Dr. Pepper, Mt. Dew (I don't like it, but everyone else does), and Doritos. 20. Someone forgetting their characters, dice, pencils, paper, etc. |
| FnordBear06-06-06, 12:50 PM | 21. Wasteing time getting off topic of the game 22. The guy playing the half-giant cracking a smelly 23. At least one comment questioning a mini's gender. 24. My laptop full of dice rollers, campaign notes, character sheets, etc. 25. At least 1 refference from either Star Wars, Montey Python, or Kung Pow Enter the Fist 26. At least one refference to "deviant behaviors" 27. The jedi throwing a table at a bad guy (damn tables everywhere!) 28. Someone yelling "Move Zig for great justice" (more funny because the Half-giant is named Zig_ 29. Bagel Bites 30. At least one mention of pictorials documenting the mating habits of Ithorians. My....we are a unique bunch |
| The_Unfan06-06-06, 12:54 PM | 25. At least 1 refference from either Star Wars, Montey Python, or Kung Pow Enter the Fist Not quite the same but we once managed to de-rail a game because of "scooby doo traps." You know, the kind where you go up the stairs and then it turns into a downward ramp really fast causing you to slip down. After that it got mentioned in just about every gaming session. |
| rogue_lettuce06-06-06, 12:59 PM | Was this MEANT to be a 1001 thread? Hehe. 31) Ted the mindflayer |
| Beeblebrox06-06-06, 12:59 PM | 32. Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters for everyone! 33. The two-headed guy getting to play two characters. 34. Small, white mice interfering with the DM's plot hooks. 35. Giant Mithral box with a deity-level intelligence inside trying to determine the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. 36. 42 different minis for one character, one for each pose, each weapon, each outfit, etc. 37. Towels in everyone's laps... just in case. 38. Glowing magical book that tells the PCs all about the strange and dangerous multiverse. - Beeb |
| The_Unfan06-06-06, 01:01 PM | Was this MEANT to be a 1001 thread? Hehe. 31) Ted the mindflayer Not quite, it was supposed to be about how great canadian bacon pizza is. Though I guess LCD2YOU saved the thread from being an abysmal thread about pizza. |
| Beeblebrox06-06-06, 01:04 PM | Not quite, it was supposed to be about how great canadian bacon pizza is. Though I guess LCD2YOU saved the thread from being an abysmal thread about pizza. I love Canadian Bacon pizza! Man, that stuff is good, especially with Canadian maple syrup on the side, just in case... |
| hmmmm06-06-06, 02:24 PM | 39. Arguments. |
| ZeronHitaro06-06-06, 02:56 PM | 40. The Illithid RPer who gets too far into character and tries to suck out the brain of neighborhood cats. |
| hmmmm06-06-06, 03:11 PM | 40. The Illithid RPer who gets too far into character and tries to suck out the brain of neighborhood cats. 41: The complulsive dice fondler. |
| Uncle Meat06-06-06, 03:30 PM | 23. At least one comment questioning a mini's gender. We completely lost our focus for over an hour one night because someone realized that the wand being held by a Ral Partha miniature totally looked a marital aid. No end to the comments and references, but it sure spiced things up! |
| The_Unfan06-06-06, 03:35 PM | Is it just me or do we have two number 31s, pizza listed twice, and aren't miniatures and battle maps seperate items? What's the official count at? |
| hmmmm06-06-06, 03:41 PM | 42-43 I would think. |
| ZeronHitaro06-06-06, 04:47 PM | 42. *door bell rings* Player of the Paladin: I detect evil! Others: Dude...no RPing now. It's break time. *gets the pizza* Pally Player: No seriously, I detect ev... *at this point the cat remembers who acted out the brain sucking and proceeds to launch a clawed pounce attack on the offenders rear* |
| hmmmm06-06-06, 05:46 PM | 42. *Playing in a resterant, waiter comes up* Player 1. "Give me ale now wench." Player 2. "And me one good meal, how many silver picese?" Player 3. "I require some trail rations, where be they found?" GM. "That will be one....." |
| Mortecareus06-06-06, 06:00 PM | Puns. Really, really bad ones. My favourite (and one of the few actual good ones) from a recent game was 'comedy double axe'. I'm thinking of making it a magic item; it gives +2 to all Perform (comedy) checks. |
| Vaalingrade Ashland06-06-06, 06:01 PM | 44. Some of that old school ultra violence 45. The look of mixed terror and admiration when you inform the players that they were just stymied by a bard of two CR below them who you rolled in the open for. |
| Tristan06-06-06, 06:14 PM | hmm, Pizza distracts the players, so does food and drinks. Its just a fact. |
| E. Ravenwood06-06-06, 07:44 PM | 46: Players with imagination and a good sense of humor ;) |
| Raymond_Luxury_Yacht06-06-06, 08:05 PM | 47. A goat. After all, what's DnD without a blood sacrifice? |
| Kraleck06-07-06, 09:25 AM | 48. Music for mood. A little backstory. My DM mixes and burns his own CDs. He puts the player on shuffle and, for Gygax only knows what reason, every time we get into a combat situation, "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" always plays. Strange, I know. 49. The obssessive (mundane item) collecting character. More backstory. One of my fellow player's characters collected chalk pieces just for the hell of it. Accumulated over 200 pieces in a single session. He was a wierd sort of guy by normal people's standards. 50. DM Deus Ex Machina. Backstory again. Same DM and Players. A Troll gets impaled by a Gore to the back by a Minotaur NPC just as I am about to get killed. Minotaur gets one of his horns broken off by BBEG who escapes with it just as I am aiming a ranged attack. |
| The_Unfan06-07-06, 09:33 AM | 48. Music for mood. I once made a mix CD for D&D purposes, but it basically made the game stall as every time a new song came on people would ask who it is followed by in depth music discussion. It was basically a one shot game kill. Never again. |
| HeartbreakerHabberdasher06-07-06, 09:57 AM | 49: Perfectly timed (general) movie quotes 50: The occasional crule irony, oh yes, the irony |

| woodwalker06-14-06, 08:51 PM | 63. system of a down. |
| kaeso06-15-06, 01:05 AM | Candy. More specifically, the good kind. More specific than that, Twizzlers and some form of chocolate, either Hersheys bars or M&M's. If there's no chocolate the girls go insane with anger... :gah: |
| StarDrifter06-15-06, 01:22 AM | 65. Moments of forehead slapping and shouts of D'oh! Such as the time my halfling with goggles of night and cloak of arachnida was sneaking down the inside wall of the well to see what's down there, only to have the barbarian waiting up top lower a sword enchanted with the light spell down to help me see. It certainly helped that scrag see me. :OMG! |
| Sphyre06-15-06, 07:12 AM | 66. as a DM? Killing PCs :schemes: |
| Morrowner06-16-06, 12:11 PM | Queen. I love gaming(videogames, card games, poker, roleplaying) to classic rock and NWOBHM, especially Queen. |
| CommandoBob46606-16-06, 12:35 PM | Jay's Hot BBQ chips |
| Mark Thorson06-16-06, 01:07 PM | The party Dwarf getting in his one and only hit when the opponent's down to 1 or 2 hit points and yelling, "MY KILL!!!!!!!!" |
| Cthulhu312506-16-06, 02:30 PM | 70. "I cast magic missile"... "I'm attacking the darkness". 71. "You're not there, you're getting drunk". 72. Arguments about whether or not the mage had "Mordenkainen's faithful watchdog" cast. |
| Lord_Bahamut06-16-06, 03:04 PM | 73. Weird Al. Ya gotta have Weird Al. 74. PVC pipe wrapped in foam to hit fellow players with.:fight!: 75. Sugar. For staying up 16 hours straight. :D 76. Getting that 1/1,000,000 chance of intantly killing the Tarrasque  77. Awkward moments |
| Wharin06-16-06, 03:15 PM | 21. Wasteing time getting off topic of the game 22. The guy playing the half-giant cracking a smelly 30. At least one mention of pictorials documenting the mating habits of Ithorians. My....we are a unique bunch >>22.-> The DM is as much to blame as he is. >>30. -> Bah! Gah! *cringe* *whimper* No! Not Want!... *pokes fingers at invisible Ithorian faces* Gah! *cringe* Blaaaaaaaaaaah! You're days are numbered! 78. Back in the day when I didn't have a mortgage and a shoestring budget my old group would order vast quantities of Chinese Food. I love using those Paper cartons with the chopsticks... Couldn't game for long with out making a delivery order to the Chinese Restaurant. |
| darkelf211006-17-06, 01:27 AM | Multiple cases of Mt. Dew, just to help stay awake. (My group doesn't start playing until 11pm). And lots of snackage(chips, cookies, a cake, pizza) helps too. Also, the dwarf trying to have sex with anything he can and some things he can't (Gelatinous Cube) |
